For the first time in 20 years of business travel I walked into a bedroom that was already occupied. After apologising to the occupant I returned to the front desk to be allocated a new room. The lady at the desk was a little confused as to how this could happen, but it did. My second room was fine. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is in great shape. I went down for breakfast at 7am, not too early, but I found lots of people sitting around. Breakfast had not yet been put out. When it did arrive it was dreadful. When I mentioned it on checkout I was told that the cook had overslept. No apology, just an explanation. Great facilities, poor staff!

No recognition for platinum members, charged twice from the hotel restaurant for dinner.
I won't recommend this hotel at all.

In its favour - great location, super decor, comfy rooms and pleasant staff.
Did not like - Breakfast start times (need to get away early so visited adjacent fast-food chain), restaurant choice very limited for a vegetarian and I cannot believe that a hotel chain as big as HI does not have live Sky Sport channels.
We were informed by a particular bar staff that due to non-payment of Sky subscription the service had been withdrawn.
Maybe that's why there was only 5 people in the bar area drinking on that night!
You are loosing money (bar takings) and customers if you do not offer a simple choice such as Sky Sports.
