Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel for family We enjoyed the indoor pool and found it a very reasonable temperature (82). The spa was very large and we enjoyed that as well. I thought it was a good hotel for a family. Our room had a sofabed and plenty of space. We did not order room service but I was shocked by how low the prices were. If you prefer a quiet room I would ask for one with an outside view. Sign up for the IHG rewards program too, as you will get free internet, late checkout, etc. December 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Roomy and comfortable Good stay and good room service. The sign and entrance to the hotel off of Ordway Drive should be changed or lite up better. Lighting entrance to hotel is not adequate. Lobby nice and check in efficient. If you booked for a particular type of room and you made the reservation a good deal ahead of time, you should push for the type of room you booked on the internet.I requested a King for the ease of having more room for spreading my paper work out. However at check in I was told there were non available. I asked why was I asked online to make a selection and my reservation was make 3 months in advance. I wasn't angry for my expectations were not set in stone. However the reservation personnel did fine me a king room after I made the internet comment. It is a little scary that the side doors can be entered without the use of a room keys after dark.. December 2, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Diasppointed in this facility I was very disappointed in this facility especially since there were so many other hotels in the same vicinity. I usually stay at a Holiday Inn Express so I assumed that the Holiday Inn would be pretty muck like HIE or better. The rooms were old. The electric fixtures were broken and hanging off. The TV's picture was horrible, there were lines coming down the middle. The furniture was old and there was so much blonde hair on the pillows and sheets. The bathroom was small and the tub wasn't the cleanest. This experience has turned me off of Holiday Inns. There is a HUGE difference between Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Express. The expresses are nice and have modern amenities. This hotel was not up to my family's standards and I would NEVER recommend for anyone to stay here while they are visiting Roanoke. I would have stayed at the adjacent hotel or the Holiday Inn Express closer to downtown. November 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value hotel I stayed at the Roanoke property during holiday travel. The staff was friendly and the check-in swift. The room was comfortable. We used the bar that night, although the drinks were a little pricey and they only offered lower quality beverages. The bed was comfortable what you would expect for a Holiday Inn brand and the bathroom clean with a good shower. Breakfast was OK with my meal slightly over cooked. You could tell the primary effort was stocking the buffet with people ordering off the menu getting secondary service. Checkout was quick. November 30, 2014
