Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what was expected Felt like the front desk clerk was just "going through the motions" when he checked us in. Room was disappointing; could not get hot water in tub/shower and called front desk to be advised to let water run for a long time; 27 minutes later water was hot enough for bath; room also felt old and very outdated. Next morning at check out, 5:45am saw two coffee pots on table in lobby and asked clerk if coffee was fresh; answer was no coffee and wouldn't be for 30 minutes or more. Have stayed at this hotel twice before and had no problems. Very disappointed after a long drive. Recommend this hotel based on previous stays. December 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great decision to stay...twice! We stayed at the Holiday Inn - Santee on the way down to Florida and on the way back up. We were so pleasantly surprised at the excellence of this Holiday Inn. The staff was helpful, friendly. The ambiance is modern, clean and welcoming. And to top it off, they are pet friendly. But non-pet owners don't worry, the hotel is clean, qiuet and fur-free. Highly Recommend. December 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hot Water At a recent stay at the Holiday Inn Santee, There was no hot water in the newly renovated room. The staff upon checkout seemed not concerned. A conversation with the manager later in the day drew an apology. She was great, but the indifference of the early morning staff left a very bad taste in my mouth. The renovations will be nice....I believe that the plumbers forgot to check their work upon completion. I will give it another try next time I travel into the area. December 4, 2014
