Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hikesands Lovely staff, and service. Mattress not to my liking.
The Staff was excellent as well as the breakfast with healthy choice options. Didn't use fitness room, but very well equipped for a hotel. The mattress was soft and "mushy", pillows too big and didn't easily compress for my liking. Bed was made up short and had to pull everything out from the end to get enough cover. Bathroom needs attention, Old, damaged tub with gouge and rust spot. For a decorative eye, the grey granite and old brown tile are plain ugly together, Granite and sink were nice, rest of bathroom greatly shows age as well as the carpet. I think they are currently updating rooms so this may be rectified in the near future.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by deberjean55 Great location!
Admittedly I have stayed here at least once at month over the past two plus years and have gotten to know some of the staff well. They have always been quick to resolve any issues, small or large and are friendly and welcoming. Will return there again soon, no qualms!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breezy3876 Labor Day weekend
My family and I were visiting Alamogordo over Labor Day weekend. My husband's grandparents are originally from Alamogordo so the #1 destination spot on their bucket list vacation was Alamogordo. I love Holiday Inn Express hotels, they are always clean and you can always count on getting a good nights sleep without worrying about what your taking home with you (Ex. bed bugs). The only 2 complaints: We were on the first floor and we could hear the people in the room above us (it sounded like kids were jumping off the beds constantly). We thought maybe it was just the people above us (Labor Day weekend so probably a family with kids). But my husbands parents and grandparents had separate rooms on the first floor too and they could hear the people above them as well. I informed the staff of this and their response was "ok, sorry". Not that there was anything they could do at that moment anyways. I just doubt they passed this onto management. The hotel was under construction so I hope they do something to help with the noise. Also, there were dead little beetles all over the floor in the room, not sure if is a New Mexico thing or what because a couple restaurants and casinos we visited also had these bugs on the floors. (THEY WERE NOT BED BUGS!) It would have been nice if the staff would have been a little bit more tidy when vacuuming the room, that's all. Overall, I still love Holiday Inn and we just LOVE Alamogordo and we will be back again!
