An excellent stop when on the road, and, if during the balloon festival, the best stop for sure. Clean, safe and an attentive staff makes your stay complete.

Room was on the second floor and whatever was in the room below shook/vibrated all night long. It was so bad that the lamp on the beside table was rocking. Not a very restful night.

My husband and I LOVED our stay at the Holiday Inn express. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. Check-in and out was a snap. We were actually wishing we could stay longer to enjoy the pool and sleep one more night in the amazing beds. I have never said that before about any hotel stay. We WILL return!!!

Staff was very pleasant, close to the casino, and the price wasn't bad. The breakfast could use a little more variety but it tasted good. Thanks for a great stay!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by momma pat Great place to stay. Would do so again in future
We stayed here to be close to our daughter whom we were visiting for about a week. This hotel excels in nearly all categories for value, comfort, amenities, ease of access for traveling around ABQ and environs, friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness and upkeep of guest areas and inside and outside physical facility. Extremely comfortable mattresses and pillows!! Good breakfast with variety of hot and cold foods offered, and reasonable hours offered. Just a couple areas where I would offer comments for improvement: the tub/shower needs more grab bars and a gritty surface on the bottom for safety -- for all guests, not just older guests like us. We brought our own tub mat and used it while there for stability, but definitely one or two more grab bars would be helpful. One other comment, being on the third floor, our room was situated so we could see the mountains -- that was lovely, spectacular! However, at night, the tall large lights for the parking area were bright and shown into our room, and it would have been helpful to have drapes that could be closed so the room could be darkened. We did appreciate that the window could be opened to let in fresh air. The temp in the room was comfortably cool, as we like it that way. And best of all, there was no smell of laundry detergent or fabric softener on the bedding and no smell of disinfectant or air freshener or anything in the room itself. Both of these things were greatly appreciated d/t allergies. The pancake maker was broken and out of service for our entire stay, but there were plenty of other choices for breakfast, so this was no problem for us. We did appreciate having a microwave and small fridge in the room as well. Overall, a great comfortable and very pleasant stay. Thank you to all your staff!

We checked in on a Sunday night. The occupancy seemed to be10% at most, (there were 5 or 6 cars in the parking lot). When we got to the room the keys were not coded. I went back down stairs and as soon as the only person I ever encountered during my stay saw me she immediately said, "the keys didn't work?". Which told me she knew they weren't coded. A half an hour later someone tried to enter our room using a key. He said it was his assigned room. (Mind you there were probably 5 or 6 guest in the entire hotel). A few minutes later the front desk called to tell us we were in the wrong room. The room they assigned us to, which we had no say in. We told them we were not going to move as we had used the shower and unpacked. An hour later we heard loud car engines reeving and tires squealing. I though maybe it was at the gas station next door but after 10 minutes of this I Looked out of the window and saw that a car club was meeting in the hotels parking lot below our window making a lot of loud noise. The noise continued for over an hour before the cars drove off with a final very loud departure. This came after a long day on the road with another early departure scheduled for Monday morning. We use Holiday Inn Express often and find the service and rooms to be an excellent value. This was an extremely bad experience and at a higher rate than a typical stay in a good Holiday Inn. We will NEVER go back to this hotel and I recommend that you use either of the other two Holiday Inns in town.
