Upon check-in, we were asked if we wanted a room on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor. I mentioned to the associate that I preferred the 3rd floor where it would be less noisy. Boy - was I wrong. There happened to be a reception held in the conference room just below the window of our room that had a loud DJ playing until 1:00AM. I called the front desk at approximately 12:20AM to ask how long the loud music and partying was going to be allowed to happen. The front desk clerk, Julie, apologized for the loud music and offered to adjust our room costs for the inconvenience. She stated that when we checked in we should have been asked if we were part of the activities happening in the conference room that evening, and if not, we should have been given a room on the opposite side of the hotel, away from the party. We were never asked that question and we did not know that there would was a reception happening that evening. She informed me that the noise would continue until 1:00AM. After that time, it should be over, but she could not do anything until after 1:00AM. However, after 1:00AM, there were people running up and down the stairs adjacent to our room, and running up and down the hallway, hollering all the way. That finally stopped around 2:30AM. Needless to say, this was not a pleasant stay and not up to the standards expected from a Holiday Inn hotel. We understood the 1:00AM time-frame because of the contractual obligations, but they also had a contractual obligation with us as well. We received a minimal discount, but we feel it was not enough for the lack of sleep and inconvenience put upon us. We checked out at approximately 7:00AM. Upon checkout, the clerk working the front desk showed no concern with how our stay was because he never asked us. He took the key-cards from us and asked if I wanted a printed receipt - that is it. I had to ask if there was a survey we could complete - he looked for one, but said they were out. He asked me to write down my email address and they would send a survey to me. I checked out over 12 hours ago and am still waiting for the survey. Lesson learned: In my 51 years I have never had to do this, but will from now on… upon checking into a hotel, remember to ask what activities are happening in the hotel during your stay, and if you want some sleep, any sleep at all, request a room far away from the noise.

I always stayed in Holiday inns for business and
pleasure. that was until a couple yrs ago in Bismarck
ND when that Holiday inn express turned down my
membership card, which had more than enough points
for several rooms even at there new "oil boom rate"!
And told me pay cash or credit card we don't do points cause we fill up nightly. So I threw my card at her and have avoided Holiday Inns ever since, only using them if I have no other choice.

Everything was great.
I have been staying at holiday inns lately I like the rooms and the workout facility's also.

Hotel is very clean and has recently been updated so has a very modern look and feel. Good breakfast included and hotel staff was friendly.

Needed a good hotel at a decent price. Fit the need. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Son enjoyed the pool after a long day at the ball fields.

very clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast was very good and had no issues at all. treadmills in fitness center were good, pool was nice but too cold by about 5 degrees. beds were okay but not quite as good as other HIE's I have stayed at before. Overall a good experience but nothing out of the ordinary.
