Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by cleanning service First day of the hotel, we were welcomed by a lady at the desk. She was charming and answered to all of our questions. As we came in the room we noticed there was no trash can in the bathroom, so without a choice, as we were in a hurry to leave, we had to drop all the paper on the floor. Next day after we came back, we noticed they have done a very poor cleaning. The trash can was not added even after we mentioned the receptionist. and all the paper was still on the floor, the tissue box was not filled and was empty. The shower was very noisy. THe guest room was not quite cleaned except they did the bedding. August 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful Room For as top shelf as Birmingham MI is I would have expected much more from this hotel. On check in, the fridge was in complete defrost and standing water all inside the fridge. Lastly and what was the most appalling was that somebody failed to flush and clean the toilet upon our check in to the room. Completely disgusting, gross and felt out unacceptable. And all I got was a sorry and an inconvenient switch of rooms. If it was not after the checking deadline, I would have yanked my reservation and gone somewhere else. August 25, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will never stay at this Holiday Inn or any other. We checked in at 9 pm on August 2, 2015. We had a family funeral the next morning. Sometime around midnight I am guessing the hydro went out. No way of knowing the time because the clock did not have battery backup. Room, hallways and stairways pitch black. No hot water, no breakfast, and still room, hallways and stairways black. My husband after not locating the stairway on the first attempt tried again and kicked a dollar store flashlight with less than charged batteries in it on the floor and got himself downstairs. Coffee had been brought in and muffins. When leaving at 9:20 in the morning the hydro came back on. As I approached the front deck I was greeted by employees yelling finally its back on. They kept passing the buck as to who to talk to due to the what had happened. I threw up my arms and left. Why would a Holiday Inn not have a generator or at least emergency lights, battery backup in clocks and the list goes on. I have been in contact with Kim having to call her back twice. She has guaranteed I will not be charged for the room. However a bad experience like we encountered will not soon be forgotten. I kept thinking to myself what if there was an emergency or fire. Not sure any of us would have gotten out. August 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place in Birmingham Very good location at a mostly reasonable price. Walking distance to much that Birmingham has to offer. Thought the room was a bit over priced (v my past stays) but perhaps that was due to demand? I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here in the future. August 3, 2015
