Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Bloomington indiana As an Platinum Elite member, I travel a LOT. Sometimes to locations where choices are limited. Holiday Inn Express is my choice for short stays and this particular one offers amenities and comfort that more than met my basics needs. Free food in the evenings was a welcome surprise, especially for those nights when I just don't' feel like going out for food. but when you do, there are several restaurant well within walking distance. Lobby and rooms are nice. Internet service was not impressive but acceptable which is pretty much the norm at most hotels. Front desk staff acknowledged my stupid high amount of points on the program (few minutes of banter about that), although did not recognized Platinum Elite over regular platinum membership level. But again this is not uncommon, I subscribed to Ambassador level for years and most thought I handed them the wrong membership card no matter where I was staying. April 26, 2015

Staff very accommodating to my needs ( I needed an extended check-out and they didn't even bat an eye, but asked me how long. When I said two hours, they said "no problem! Stay here every year when I come down for the Bloomington Half Marathon. Best hotel in town! April 25, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Refrig and bad info at front desk When I checked in I asked if they were going to start breakfast earlier for the half marathon people and I was told they did not believe so. When we came down in the morning to leave we found out the breakfast had been started early. It would have been nice to have that information the night before. Also the refrig in the room was warm. I told the front desk on our way out for dinner and when we got back nothing had been done. When I looked at it more I saw it was not plugged in. Not sure why it would not have been plugged in - I really don't feel like I need to be the person crawling behind the dresser to plug it in. Another thing I found interesting was there was no blind or curtain we could close so outside could not see in. April 20, 2015
