My cousin and I stayed here to experience our first Groundhog Day celebration in Punxsutawney, PA! We were greeted by friendly staff, a spotless hotel and comfortable room. The staff was helpful in suggesting restaurants, and we found a great family owned Italian restaurant, Luigi's. We inquired about the possibility of a late checkout, and the staff was eager and willing to sign me up for IHG rewards to make that happen!
We left the hotel at 2:00 am to see the prognostication (if you haven't experienced this, it's totally worth it) but were able to come back to the hotel, enjoy breakfast and warm up for the trek back home!!
The breakfast bar had a wonderful assortment of warm and cold foods, and the wait server was kind and accommodating (despite our groundhog hats)! I only gave it a 4 because it had no waffles!!
Although we didn't use the pool, it looked inviting!
Would definitely recommend the hotel, the festivities, Luigi's !!! Thanks for an amazing stay!!

I don't know if there is a problem with hot water demand/supply in the hotel or what. The hot water does not last long when trying to take a shower. Someone needs to have maintenance look into this issue. It is promenant everytime I stay here. When it comes back up to temp it is screaming hot.

My husband and I stopped at this property around 11pm on a road trip. As an IHG Platinum Club member, I've stayed at numerous Holiday Inn Express locations around the country, and this one did not meet my expectations. The check in manager did not refer to me by name, gave us each a bottled water and pointed to a basket of chips from which to select one treat. Usually, we are given a gift bag. When we arrived at our room, the sheets on the bed looked very wrinkled; upon looking further, there was a cigarette hole in the comforter, which was also very wrinkled. I returned to the clerk who then supplied a key to another room which was at the end of the hall. I wondered why we weren't given this room originally as it had fresh linens and was larger. Unfortunately, I did find a cigarette hole in the small throw blanket that lies on top of the comforter. We did stay in this room and had a pleasant night. The holes in the linens here are confusing as I thought Holiday Inn Express had been non smoking for some time. The shower had a great spray!
