This is a nice property. Very comparable to other Holiday Inn Express properties.

We booked the room online, for a standard room, but were for some reason given a handicap room. No big deal, but there were a few weird things about our room that made us wish we had been given a standard, which was what we'd booked for. Two things: the door to the bathroom opened OUT (and of course it was a large door, which makes sense to accommodate a wheelchair), and those two factors together made using the restroom in the middle of the night a pain. The shower head was the adjustable type in that you could slide it up and down on a bar (due to the ADA room). This would have been fine but it didn't stay put at the top of the bar, and slowly made its way down. Just another small inconvenience. The other thing that was a little weird about this hotel was that the back outside door said it was locked from 11 pm til early morning, so you had to use your key card. No problem, but we found out on our second trip into the hotel from the car about 11:30 or later that the back door was indeed not locked at all--we just opened it. We felt safe, and the hotel was in a fine area of town, no worries, but it seems that the back door to the outside really *ought* to be locked (so you have to be a hotel guest with a key card) at the written hours, for general security.
It was fine, just those weird quirks made me not recommend this particular hotel. I think the front desk clerk, who was working late (we checked in late), just put us into the ADA room, not sure why. Experience was okay, but compared to the next Holiday Inn that we stayed at the following night, this one very very much paled in comparison, for a similar price as well.

This hotel was the nicest hotel I stayed at during my cross country round trip. It was also one of the most beautiful locations I saw during my entire drive. It's worth the drive just to see the area.
In addition, the receptionist, Amy, was the nicest and most helpful receptionist at all the hotels I stayed in.
I intend to visit the area again and I will stay here. Real breakfast as well, not continental. Wish I'd had more time to explore locally.
