THE ROOM HELD A LOT TO BE DESIRED.
TILE IN THE SHOWER WAS FALLING OFF THE WALL.
THE DOORS IN THE CLOSET WOULD NOT CLOSE.
THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET COVER IN THE BATHROOM WAS THE WRONG SIZE.
THE SHEETS WERE CLEAN BUT OLD.
WHAT A SHAME BECAUSE WE HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS.

I stay here regularly and must say that Meena is the main reason.
She is the driving force behind this hotel. She is always cordial and pleasant to deal with. If has to complain, it would be that they need to change the commodes, because they are too low.

I made prior reservations for late arrival. When I arrived at Hotel just before midnight, checked in and I was given a smoking room. I went back to frontdesk, asked for a nonsmoking room. I was told that no more rooms were available; however two partys came in behind me when I first checked in and they were given rooms. I told front desk that I have a allergy from the smell of cigarette smoke (makes my throat swell and close off) I requested a refund, was told that manager was not there and nothing could be done until I speak with him.
You guess it, yes my debit account was drafted. I call Saturday, was told that mgr. would not be in until Monday. I called on Monday, mgr. told me that the next time, I should call the hotel directly and make reservations and the next time that I stay there, he would make it up to me some how. No refund was given..
I ended up driving to Apex and getting a room at the Holiday Inn Express there at 2:00 am in the morning, comparable rate, lovely experience. Thanks for making my night Apex Holiday Inn Express folks. At least you all know how to treat an IHG Rewards Club Gold Elite Member.
I won't stay at the hotel in Hillsborough again.
