My husband and I decided to spend the night here to celebrate our son's birthday. We stayed with our 4 children-12, 5, and 3 yr old twins. Usually the second we arrive somewhere, people dread it due to so many children! lol However, the lady at the front desk was absolutely precious! She greeted us with all smiles and said she, too had 3 boys and 1 girl. Shortly, after checking in, we went to the pool. I had full expectations the pool would be horrible due to so much chlorine other pools use. I figured it would bleach out all of the swimsuits and the kids would only be able to stand it for a few minutes. However, I was wrong! The pool was very, very clean without the overbearing smell of chlorine that bleaches out everything and gives you an instant migraine! The beds and room were very nice. That morning after waking up, we went downstairs to have the breakfast. I was expecting cereal or bagels, instead they had everything! Something for everyone! It was an excellent stay! Thank you for helping us celebrate our child's birthday. We had a wonderful time!!

Just a note to let you know we were not happy with our stay at your hotel on 10/17 & 10/18.
To start with when we arrived our reservations were messed up.. As I always do, I reserved a nonsmoking room with a fridge. I am diabetic and must keep insulin in my room. You should have history to show this from past stays. For some reason we were scheduled for a smoking room without a fridge. The clerk told me there had been several other problems with the system changing rooms from nonsmoking to smoking. The clerk called the manager and I was able to speak with him.. All was taken care of.. Both the manager I spoke with and the clerk was very nice and understanding.
I have stayed in your hotel many times and am a priority member and have never had any problems.. This has always been one of the best hotels I have stayed in.. When I travel I always choose Holiday Inn Express.. The only reason I am writing this email is for the following reasons below that happened after check-in.
1. Internet connection was horrible and extremely slow… the clerk tried to help me by giving us other sign-ons, but did not work. She also told me you had recently changed your service. I can tell you during our previous stays we never had an issue as the previous service was great, so not sure why you had to change. My son had online homework to do and was not able to do it.
2. Both days your food bar was not good as you were out of so many things, especially the second day. I had young kids with me and they love the pancake machine. It was broke down both days. When I asked about it, the lady in the food area told me it had been broke for several weeks and the owner would not get it fixed.. Hmmmmm!!!
3. The second day (Sun AM) you were out of the cin rolls, plain bagels, cream cheese, flavored yogurt, and bacon. I also had to complain because the OJ machine was not working. Again when I asked the lady in the food area, her response was “ sorry, we always run out of things as they never order enough.”
I usually stay in your hotel once or twice a year as I come down to visit with some family members in Delbarton, and I have for some time now.. After this stay, I am not sure if I should come back (hoping this was a one-time issue) or choose another hotel.

We love staying at Holiday Inn Express, however the smell of smoke in our 2nd floor room was overwhelming. There were a couple of outlets in our room that only had one of the two plug-ins working. Usually the top one worked, but the bottom did not. The AC unit had to be brought done to 60 degrees before it kicked on. It was tricky to get the unit to work and I'm not sure how we got it to. Sometimes we had to turn it off then back on again. I'm not a complainer, but feel it necessary to inform you of these problems we encountered. This will not keep us from returning to your property. We enjoy staying here and especially love that you allow pets.
