Some areas were closed and the evening manager's reception has been temporarily ( I hope!) suspended. Although there are a number of reataurants in the area, as I was travelling alone, I was looking forward to the reception, rather than going out for a meal. November 17, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, average HIE accomodations, very clean The hotel did contact me about the construction ahead of time which was thoughtful and I agreed to stay anyway. The construction did not bother me. However, as a business visit, not being about to count on the Internet working is a huge, huge headache. I don't know if that was construction related or not. We had requested an early check-in which the desk representative said was not a problem. However the person at the desk in check-in did not greet us as members and said we would have to wait until she checked on our room to see if it was ready. When I told her we had called for an early check in, she found our check in materials ready on the wall. It was annoying that she didn't ask if we has requested early check in to begin. It was a similar experience, but turned out better with the evening/overnight desk representative. When the Internet went out, he told me to call a number because his office was working fine. I told him it was out in the eating area as well, and since this was going to put me behind, I asked him to call - and he did, but he seemed a bit "put out". However once he found out it was the entire hotel that didn't have Internet, he did his best to help me get my materials ready through use of the business office. I couldn't meet my promise to my client, but he did help me get some copies made and was cordial about that assistance. November 15, 2014
