We spent 3 nights here and the location proved to be excellent for visiting the town, the historic houses and the Delta Music Museum in Ferriday. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The only problem was that we had 2 disturbed nights and 1 very disturbed night due to the noise from the adjoining room. I would say that the sound proofing in the hotel is not what you would expect for a modern building. The staff were very sympathetic and we were very happy to be compensated appropriately. We were just unlucky to have noisy inconsiderate neighbours (a bit like the ones at home!)

I was in Natchez with my 3 children for my grandfather's funeral. My grandparents have lived there for 65 years, and my grandfather's passing was sudden. Because so many family members had come into town for the funeral, the kids and I had to stay at a hotel - which we have never done when coming to visit them.
The morning of the funeral we were walking through the lobby all dressed up and one of the staff commented. When I shared with them why we were in town and where we were going, they were so kind and caring. The hotel manager even said, "Please tell your family, those staying here and those that are not, that they are all welcome to come here to visit in the lobby area. Our home is your home." I was so moved and chocked up I could barely speak.
Later that afternoon, after a very emotional morning saying goodbye to our "Poppy" we came back to our room to find a gift basket and a handwritten sympathy note individually signed by every single employee. I was so moved, that I couldn't even go to the lobby to say thank you for fear I would burst into tears over the kindness of these sweet people. (and I really don't love to do the ugly cry in front of people.) To say this team of employees and this hotel was a 5 star experience for us doesn't even express our gratitude. They were a light in a very dark time for us. Thank you doesn't seem adequate.
