Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Shiny Spot in Salina! This is a great place to stop. Right on I-70, and 9th Street - easy access to the restaurants and music venues (Steifel, The Crossroads) of downtown Salina. Everything is very fresh and new! Nice pool and hot tub area. October 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable 3-night stay for business. Newer appearing facility with nice amenities - free beer and snacks in late afternoon. Efficient and friendly staff; very clean, comfortable accommodations. Right off I-70, short commute to Salina. October 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the new but where's the fridge? Beautiful, newer property in a great location. Wish there had been a mini fridge in the room - first hotel I have stayed at that didn't offer that amenity. Would have loved to have had some bottled water chilling. Thankful for the gluten free bagels as a breakfast treat. October 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, safe, quiet and comfortable Just what you would want in a hotel when traveling. To often the hotel promise doesn't meet with the reality of the stay. October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WE WILL BE BACK Easy access to this hotel for a good night's sleep. Lots in the area to do too. October 9, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast At 7:00 a.m. there was no eggs or bacon/sausage, and when I finished my coffee, juice and roll at 7:25 there still wasn't. Otherwise, my stay was very enjoyable. October 9, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to snuff We stayed at this hotel in October 2014 as part of a two week trip. This was the 4th Holiday Inn property we stayed at on this trip, and it was the least impressive. Check-in was okay - the room was clean for the most part; however there was a large amount of dust in the open area beneath where the TV sits. It was enough that my wife was able to write in it. Additionally, when the first tissue was taken out of the tissue box - the box was empty. Minor items, but it shows a lack of attention to detail by the cleaning crew. We are very early risers, and we went in and out of the hotel main entrance several times between 4AM and 5AM and never saw anyone at the desk or even look around the partition behind the desk to see who was coming in/going out. Fifteen minutes after breakfast started, all of the coffee was gone, and I had to get the front desk clerk to make more. She seemed a bit put out that she had to do so. There were no workers in the kitchen that we could find, and we never saw anyone from the hotel in the eating area. We were not impressed at all with this hotel... and considered it mediocre at best. If we pass through Salina again, we will find a different hotel to stay at. October 9, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by New hotel but noisy I always ask for a room on the top floor but usually those requests are ignored. I was placed on the 3rd floor of 4. I assumed the hotel was new enough that I might not hear others above me. Wrong! I had to call and complain but the pounding and jumping and banging never stopped. Started up again bright and early in the morning. Don't understand why those requests are ignored - or why the front desk can't at least ASK where their guests would be most comfortable.
