Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful hotel all around to stay at! My husband and I stayed in one of the king suites for 3 consecutive nights while visiting Grand Rapids for a wedding. I was very impressed with this hotel. The hotel was nicely decorated and was very clean. Our king suite had modern accommodations and also included a separate seating area with a sofa as well as a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable and had a selection of both firm and soft pillows to choose from. I was overly impressed with the wide variety of breakfast options to choose from. They had everything from cereal, yogurts, muffins, omelets, pancakes and beyond to choose from. This hotel even has a washer and dryer that guests can use for free and the front desk provides laundry detergent upon request. The only complaint I have about this hotel is that the walls are very thin and don't provide alot of soundproofing. The first night I went to sleep I could hear people on the other side of the wall and they were just carrying on a conversation, not yelling at all. If this hotel could improve the soundproofing in anyway, it would be perfect! Overall though, I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for nice, comfortable accommodations in the Grand Rapids area. September 11, 2014

Every other time we went to get in our room, I had to go get a new card because our cards did not work. It was irratating. We were not the only ones, as we came to GR for a wedding, and other people staying there for the same wedding had the same issue. I finally asked why this kept happening and she advised that the card may have come too close to a cell phone or credit card????????????? WHAT???????? Get new cards then because it is very inconvenient especially when you get back and you are tired (and have kids) and just want to get in your room. Other than that everything was good. Located in a nice area of the city, it was close to restaurants and provided a great area for evening walks. Can't say enough good things about the staff - excellent service! September 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Star HIE This is one of the best Holiday Inn Express' I've ever stayed at. It seemed a little out of the way in the back side of a mall, but the drive was worth it. Don't expect anything different in the way of breakfast, but the staff was very friendly. The breakfast room was large enough that you didn't have to worry about bumping into other folks. The rooms were very classy, much more than your typical HIE. Any time I'm in the Grand Rapids area, I will use this hotel again. September 7, 2014
