Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pet friendly, clean and up to date. Surprised to find a clean and up to date hotel literally surrounded on 3 sides by corn fields. Enjoyed pet friendly attitude, don't want to travel without our canine family members. Quality of breakfast food was not high but friendliness of staff and hotel amenities made up the difference. I bother them often for various items I may need whether to finish my microwave dinner or just something I forgot. They are always more than welcome to help and with a smile. Every morning I come down for breakfast I'm always greeted by the manager and staff with a "good morning". If I am in a hurry they are always more than willing to grab me a bag to put a fruit and Danish in. I stay at quite a few hotels and this one is by far my favorite. December 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Internet For me, when I stay at a hotel, the most important thing for me is a reliable stable internet connection. I don't even need a breakfast. Most of the time it works ok enough for me to be content. This is my second stay at this hotel this month. The first time I came and stayed I contacted the hotel tech support about my connection being unstable and slow. I was assured the problem was being worked on. And I let it slide for that week as I just didn't have the energy when I was done doing what I was doing for the day to really follow up with it...Fast forwad to this week, I arrived at my room early and immediately set my computer up and tried to get online with the internet. The connection was crawling along at best, I contacted their customer support team, I was informed that I needed to pay for an upgraded connection, knowing better I politely told them that I stay at enough holiday inns to know that this simply wasn't true. And that I often call having this problem and the techs take care of it quickly and swiftly. My internet sped up, And I went back to work. I noticed that I was experiencing very poor network connection over a hard wired line. I called again. The tech I talked to this time called me "bro". I informed him, I wasn't his bro, I was his customer and asked him to diagnose the issue. He told me he was unable to pull up any of the information about what the previous tech had done, even though he than told me that he saw what the previous tech had done, and "fixed" it. I had to step out for dinner at this point, told him if it wasn't fixed I would be calling back, but I wanted to make sure that all the progress was made would be saved and the next tech could do this for me. Instead of doing that, he hung up on me after telling me that it depended on who I talked to the next time I called. I called again, I'm angry at this point. I've spent a fair two hours trying to resolve an issue that I shouldn't have to deal with. And the guy that I talk to this time, tells me that without the reference number that I didn't get there was no way to see what had been done up to this point...Finally after insisting that I knew he could do this...He magically found my ticket and told me that it had been escalated and it was being worked on..Which is the exact thing I was told two weeks ago. It was never worked on, never even looked at again. I asked to talk to a supervisor, they told me he was to busy to talk to me. I refused to get off the phone until the issue was resolved. I've been on hold for 25 minutes. If you are a techy traveler like I am, avoid this hotel and their terrible internet service. December 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very comfortable hotel stay The hotel seemed new; all spaces were roomy and welcoming. My only complaint was that the room was cold when we arrived, and it took a while to get it to comfortable sleeping temperature. However, the desk clerk was more than helpful when we arrived, especially with dining choices. The breakfast room, attendant and selection was excellent. I had never seen the pancake machine ;-) I would gladly stay here again. December 10, 2014

The check-in clerk the very first night I checked-in he act like it did not want to take my drivers license, he kept reading around it, until I asked him is there something wrong, but the staff member the following night was a lot nicer, and more customer service oriented than that jerk the night before. It's always one in the buch that spoil it for everyone else. I think the breakfast sould be a better variety, sometimes it makes me gag when I see the sausage gravy they serve at some of these holiday inns. I've only been to one holiday in where they have a social hour a few hours out of the week, plus serve wine, nothing fancy, just a good marketing tool to attract more people to their establishment.
