Smells like ashtray. People loitering outside all the time approaches you for money, rides, and cigarettes. Filthy. Definitely not a non smoking hotel. Some of staff are great but Manger doesn't do anything.

Decent stay

Hotel room was nice and check in/out was very easy. The garbages outside the hotel however smelled pretty bad and despite no smoking signs, it smelled heavily of both cigarette and weed smoke outside as well as in the hallways.
Ice machine was out of service and has been for some time.

Hotel not as expected

When we checked in, our room was super stuffy and smelled horrible like fish. When we told the front desk, they offered us room spray to “cope” with the smell. I would have liked a new room but instead we ended up two nights in the same smelly room.

Quiet and peaceful

Great hotel for long term contract employees. It was my home away from home. Being that I work mostly overnight shifts I tend to get off when people are up getting ready to go. I was able to sleep during the day most days with out interruptions, granted there were some hiccups with the fire alarm going off but other than that I had a peaceful stay and if I’m ever in the area again I’d definitely stay again

Stayed here for almost a year and I enjoyed being able to use the oven to cook food, since most hotels ditched them. I also like the location since it's tucked away from the hustle and hustle of the big city.

I stayed 2 months in IHG Candle Wood Suites North Shore Danvers. It was terrible eperince with to many problems. I contacted with Management and IHG Customer service to many times but none of the problems were resolved. Please check google reviews instead of IHG Hotel site as I tried 5 times to submit my review here and all of them were rejected. It looks IHG Hotels only publish good reviews .

Big room

Our first room was not cleaned very well the front desk changed it right away . Comfortable bed, big room, mostly clean. Entrance is hard to find off roadway. There are a lot of long term tenants staying there paid by the state. This was not a problem for us, but would have been nice to know since we were on our honeymoon. I probably would have picked somewhere different due to that.

The hotel is conveniently located near Salem and Boston. They offer free laundry and provide dishes, which help with longer stays. Housekeeping only comes by one a week, which makes it inconvenient when there us a need for more supplies like clean towels and sheets, and more pillows, toilet paper, and trash bags.
