Good location. Not much else

Great location. Hotel is dated. Elevators sometimes worked. Not great when you're on the 30th floor. Room looked like it hadn't been fully cleaned in months. AC was either on or off. No temp control. Phone didn't work. Toilet was broken. Clothes from the last guest(s) were still tucked into corners of the room. Refrigerator was loud. TV received 8 channels, and three if them were the same. For the cost of the stay, it was definitely not worth it.

good location, kind staff and customer oriented approach, walkable environement and close to subway stations.
Location never sleeps. Cafes are open, streets are crowded, close to main touristic attractions.

Worst service. We were greeted by issues throughout. While these can happen, its how hotel service responds and clears them that matters. And here, they just leave us without any help/service.
Our toilet flush didnt worked and the room got flooded with water. We informed the frontdesk who sends someone to repair the toilet but no one comes to clean the flooded water. We had to repeatedly call front desk and report it to manager for several hours to get this cleaned. After several hours, they say that room cleaning person are cleaning other rooms and will be sent only after that. So they dont prioritize emergency cleaning with regular cleaning. After several attempts and waiting for 3hrs, they sends a cleaner who comes and just cleans the floor with towels in bathroom (Come on!! this is water from toilet).
This is not the only incident. We have faced several such issues and just feeling like its wastage of time to even write about them. They simply dont care. Manager promises to address issues but nothing happens. I would not recommend staying in this hotel even if its offered at lower price than elsewhere.
Surprisingly bad for a reputed hotel chain.

Better than expected, hotel is near subway ( 1 block away), location is a must for lots of things to do in NYC. Room is large and clean, with amenities that needed. One minus point is WiFi, it's poor signal and bad connection. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for first timer visiting NYC like us.

Good location close to subway lines at Times Square, clean, comfortable bed and pillows, convenient laundry in the basement and cupboard with snacks and free coffee/tea. Many restaurants nearby and at walking distance from Times Square and city center.

I am a Diamond Member, with 800,000 points, and you could not pay me to stay here. Before you think that I am a Primadona, trust me I am not. I Actually used to work for IHG as a Director.
1. It took the hotel front desk forever to check me in, when it should be just under 5 mins.
2. Never acknowledged that I was a Diamond Member.
3. Lied about their valet being cheaper then the garage across the street, by $30 per day.
4. Took them almost an hour to get my car.
5. Elevators were broken. Took 30 mins to even get an elevator.
6. Could not print out my room receipt.
7. It seemed like everything was a joke to the front desk.
Now don't get me wrong, problems are defiantly going to accrue, like I said, I used to work for IHG.
But the attitude of the front desk, and lack of Maintenace is unacceptable.
Convenient hotel in need of updates and fixes

I have stayed here twice in as many years and honestly you can't beat the convenience and amenities for the price, especially compared to other hotels in the area. But there are many things clearly in need of updates and there were many aspects of my room that were broken/non-functional - the bathroom door did not close and the door handle was practically falling off, the kitchen sink didn't properly drain and the in-sink garbage disposal didn't work, and hot water was a little dicey in the shower. The tv/cable service is frankly terrible, half the channels were duplicates and only a handful were digital vs analog (and the analog stations were beyond bad quality). And, one of the hotel's two elevators broke on the last day of my stay making actually getting to and from my room AGONIZING. But, having a full kitchen and an actually normal-sized room (as compared to the glorified closets most midtown hotels offer) still makes this spot worth it to me.

This property's location is perfect for getting around New York City. Close to subway entrances, Port Authority Bus Terminal, and many landmarks. The staff were always helpful. Offered us umbrellas when it was raining. Pointed us in the right direction when we were in a rush. I would highly recommend this location!

There were many issues with this hotel that made it difficult to enjoy my stay. The location is rough. There seems to regularly be some unsavory characters meandering in front of the hotel. There are many homeless sleeping on the street and a urine smell on this street. I have witnessed at least four blatant drug deals take place next to the hotel. I have actual photos that I have taken next to the hotel capturing drug deals in process. One day I asked the front desk guy if he could call the police and chase these degenerates away. He said that that is why they lock the front door. Right, but we are then placing ourselves in harms way just by leaving the front door.
As for the hotel itself, there are a couple positives. The rooms come with a large refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher. There are fairly new washers and driers for doing laundry in the basement. These are free. Unfortunately, at least half of the washing machines were broken during my stay.
Now for the negatives. The hotel and the rooms feel tired and in need of a facelift. The porcelain in my bathtub was chipped. Many of the buttons on the room phone were punched out. The knob to turn on the cooktop fan was broken. The wall-mounted HVAC control was missing. There was no temperature control on the heat or cooling. It was either on or off, and I would have to guess how much cold or heat I wanted. I have found myself setting the AC to cool before I go to sleep, then waking up in the middle of the night freezing. There were numerous channels on the TV that did not work. Why not just remove those channels for easier scrolling between channels? What’s worse, the TV did not get the three major networks of ABC, NBC, and CBS.
The bathroom vent fan did not work in my room. As a result, the mirror fogged when taking a shower and towels hung up did not dry. The toilet paper holder fell off regularly. As a result, I had to jam some toilet paper in it to hold it in place.
The rooms are cleaned only weekly. As a result, trash in the rooms fills up and guests place their trash in the hallways. The elevators are dingy, and the elevator carpet is soiled. Many of the floor buttons do not light up. You just press the button to your floor and hope the elevator stops on your floor. The gym is very small. It can feel crowded with just two guests using it at one time. There is no Wi-Fi or cell coverage in the basement gym.
The hotel staff will NOT answer the phone when calling from the room. It will often ring 30+ times with no one picking up. I have had to call the main line from my cell phone to get someone to answer.
Additionally, most of the hotel staff is unfriendly. One guy at the front desk does not speak. We all thought he was mute, then realized that he just has no people skills. Another late night front desk guy will do everything he can to avoid looking at guests directly in front of him. You need to make a loud noise to get his attention. Why do these people work in the hospitality business?

Old and Tired

I would like to think of something to recommend about this property however I can't come up with anything. The property is very old and tired and is in desperate need of a complete upgrade. There are no amentities to speak of outside of the couple of stovetop burners in the room for those who would like to do some cooking. The location leaves a lot to be desired with all the homeless hanging around.

La ubicación del hotel y el tamaño del hotel están muy bien, especialmente que están a unos 10 minutos de time Square, el personal siempre estuvo disponible para ayudar en las consultas que hicimos. deberían mejorar el aseo de las habitaciones ya que como solo lo realizan una vez a la semana, el visitante debe ir a la recepción del hotel a pedir toallas secas y papel higiénico, que en nuestro caso era casi a diario, lo cual lo convertía en una situación bastante incomoda.
