Check-In . When booking , head office has my card on file . On arrival at hotel staff swipe card again and add £40 to it . At check out signing done again . All very annoying.
Breakfast cereal and cold juice etc OK . Hot breakfast fair . Overcooked deep fat rubbery greasy fried eggs , poor quality black pudding and why do the galley trogs always fold over the bacon and then half cook it in 2 inches of oil instead of grilling it - they'll tell you its to save space on the pan but its actually laziness . Sausages also not turned properly and underdone . Generally speaking more supervision and cooking training is needed with the scullions in all Holiday Inn hotels .

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Szomo Hotel is a little tired
I only stayed one night and was on business. The hotel was perfectly adequate for my stay but it is rather tired looking and in need of a bit of a refurb. The bathrooms look rather dated but the room was perfectly clean and a good size. Breakfast the following morning was good with a wide choice. - just wish there was more than PG Tips tea on offer!

See feedback comments already made. If an organsiation of your size has experienced damage to facilties especially in the bathroom area this is a must that it is repaired and brought up to a professional status especially in a washbasin as this area will harbour germs and bactieria.

From check-in to check-out this hotel was a running joke between myself and my colleague. Check-in began by my being told that I was not allowed internet access (even though I was willing to pay for it) because I was not a rewards member. Managed to sort that the next day. Breakfast times generally went okay, but service at dinner time was terrible. Too many issues to mention them all, but examples include one time when they took our orders then served my colleague with his meal and sides - and also gave him my sides too! When asked, my order had somehow been lost and they just thought he was hungry. To compensate, they knocked the price of a drink and some chips from his bill! Waiting for food and drink orders became the norm - once we even walked up to the bar where our drinks had sat for 20 minutes and got them ourselves.

Decent holiday inn. Think its a joke you have to pay £16 for internet when you can stay in a holiday inn express and get it for free. Thankfully parking was free...
