Place needs attention

This place has potential if management would wake up and check on things. I decided to try this location out one more time. Stayed here almost a year ago and it hadn’t changed since. I travel constantly for work and i was brand conscious. But not anymore. Only plus is this property is located off the main road so traffic noise is minimal. Now to the cons. Upon check in no welcome gift nor status noted. Arrived to room. Room smells musty and closed up yet ac running. I did prop door open and let air out. Towels in bathroom so thin and rough it felt like sand paper. Bed was lumpy and pillows flat. Was told at check in i had to request house keeping. I’m sorry but if I’m staying multiple nights house keeping should be performed without request. That’s just lazy. So the next morning i left before breakfast and requested new towels since i only had 1 of each type. Arrived that evening and had no wash clothes in my room. Hotel isn’t full and I’m not hunting down wash cloths so i used the spare hand towel. Stopped by for breakfast. Everything from the biscuits to breakfast meat was almost charcoal burnt. Off to find something else. Request service again. Returned that evening to same towel situation. So did my best. Upon checking out the lady at the desk had an attitude that i interpreted her play games on her phone to check me out for a paper receipt. I will just go down the street to the hotel with a H on it before i stop here again.

Overall hotel was great. I arrived on motorcycle during a rain storm. After checking in I made a trip to room with some luggage and while making a second trip for luggage I was rudely told that I need to “move my motorcycle from under cover ASAP this area is for loading and unloading only” which is exactly what I was doing. So I moved my motorcycle as soon as I was finish unloading. No problem this is a rule I understand somewhat. What set me off was the first break in rain the worker parked her car under cover to avoid getting wet in the rain. When the working shift changed the other worker also parked under the cover. So I was rudely rushed to move my motorcycle in the downpour, but it’s ok for the workers to park in the fire lane.

I will never stay here again! I need refunded or comped some of the money. Horrible stay. Checked at 3:30 am and was chastised for not calling ahead to say we were gonna be late.Was given keys to room 320 and when we got up to it the door was not shut all the way. We walked in without using the key card. It looked clean enough so we stayed. There was no shower curtain in the room and when I went to try to call the service desk the phone was not plugged in. I plugged it in but it still did not work. I called on my cell phone to ask for a shower curtain. The next day I asked the cleaning cart lady on my floor that we needed towels, wash rags and changed bed linens. She stated that my room was not on her list and that I would have to tell the front desk that I needed overnight services. So I told the front desk.The lady acted "put out" that I asked for the linens and towels. Upon coming back to the room the bed was made but not changed. I know this because the beds had small stains on them (the reason I asked them to be changed) There were only 2 towels and no wash rags. I go back to the room but my key card does not work. I go to front desk and told her about the room not being locked the first night and she looked alarmed and asked if I had reported that. I unfortunately did not report it that night but was telling them now that you have to really pull the door to close and lock it. Key card expired 2 more times durong our stay. Pancake machine was great but no syrup.

Guest services were very friendly. The king suite room was very large and the AC rocked! It stayed cool the whole time. Great location for Space Center Houston or Kemah Boardwalk. It was very quiet at night.

We abruptly needed to change hotels and the staff at the Holiday Inn were the best. They got us checked in and to our room quickly as it was late at night and we were tired.

Refused Entry Over My Son’s Service Dog — Holiday Inn Violated Federal Law

We were turned away from the Holiday Inn despite having a legitimate service dog for my child, who relies on the animal for emotional and psychological support. The front desk staff demanded documentation—which is a direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Let me be clear:
Federal law does not require individuals to provide documentation, certification, or any special ID for a service animal. Per the ADA, staff may only ask two questions:
1. Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?
2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?

That’s it.

Instead, we were denied lodging, humiliated in front of other guests, and left scrambling for accommodations—all while traveling with a child who was already struggling. The insensitivity and ignorance of the law shown by Holiday Inn staff is completely unacceptable.

If you or a loved one has a disability and relies on a service animal, avoid this hotel at all costs. Their actions were not only discriminatory, they were illegal. We will be filing a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice and pursuing further action.

Travelers beware: This location is not safe, welcoming, or lawful when it comes to disability rights.

We came to Houston area to see family and spend to with them. We met so many other guest there and enjoyed getting to share stories with them. Leslie at the hotel desk was so helpful telling us places to eat or pick up supplies for our trip. Great over all experience

The room was OK. Overnight guy was horrible. He was yelling at someone on the phone at the desk, blame me for putting me in the wrong room and turned off my card and did not tell me. We were locked outside the room and had to go down. No apology
