After experiencing a couple of Staycations within Bengaluru, we decided on a quick trip to South Goa (avoiding the always crowded North Goa); this time at the Holiday Inn Resort & Spa, Mobor Beach Cavelossim, Goa.
The hotel had arranged an airport pickup transfer on request and the staff promptly greeted us as soon as we exited the airport and called for our car from the parking lot which was well sanitized and had a plastic screen separating the chauffeur. An hour drive and we were able to check-in to the resort in seconds as all formalities of filling up the forms, providing ID proofs, charging the card on file, health declarations were completed by the duty manager reaching out a couple of days prior through whatsapp. They also upgraded us to a Pool View room. Samsmit at the reception greeted us and helped with the remaining check-in formalities, briefing about the resort facilities, welcome drink, handing over the keys and we were then promptly escorted to our room with our luggage. The reception staff also took great care to ensure we had everything we needed to our satisfaction and cleanliness/sanitization in the room and were sure to ask us about their service multiple times during our stay. This should indeed be said, of the entire staff who ensured our stay was incredibly pleasant. The room itself was well cleaned and sanitized with sufficient toiletries, flat-screen TV, tea/coffee maker, a sit out area and other essential facilities including excellent housekeeping.
Our package covered breakfast and dinner, served at the Zest restaurant in the hotel. It’s here that we met Snehit and Manju who always took good care of us every time we came in for our meals. Although there was a buffet setup, most items were pre-plated in small dishes to allow minimum contact with other guests while items like main course were served on our plates by the hotel staff directly. The food was great throughout the stay and what we really liked were the selection of items which kept changing daily. The buffet spread for really excellent on the Diwali day with a live saxophone performance.
Speaking of facilities, although the beautiful pool was shut, the property is huge and a 10 minute walk to the wonderful white sand Mobor beach with sun-beds setup by the resort for it's guest. The beach was extremely clean, had a couple of shacks (Mike's place that we visited twice), several watersports and the Beach Grill restaurant of the Holiday Inn where we had a couple of drinks watching the beautiful sunset. There were 2 weddings during our 5 day stay, with minimal disturbance due to crowd restrictions and a separate section on the lawns and ballroom for wedding guests. We wanted to rent bikes but had to take an expensive cab (Rs.200 from the taxi station just outside Holiday Inn) for 2 km to the Cavelossim bike rentals. It would be great if the resort had a tie up with a couple of bike/car rental providers similar to the cabs which were called on request by the concierge desk whenever needed.
Overall, we have to say that we truly enjoyed our vacation at the Holiday Inn and we would recommend it to everyone, especially at this time when you can get a fantastic deal in the not so crowded South Goa! It is a 10/10 for us!

I loved my stay at Holiday Inn. The beach attached to this property is one of the cleanest that I have seen in Goa. The expanse of the property and the lawn and garden around it makes it really appealing to the eyes. The swimming pool is amazing though we could not use it. I would definitely want to stay here for a longer time during my next trip to Goa.

My stay at holiday in was overall good. There are some things that must be changed such as the extra bed mattress that was thin and uncomfortable. But on the other hand the staff were good and the room was fairly good

We had a wonderful saty. Great location , pleasant and clean rooms, staff is incredibly generous, courteous and helpful , food is awesome , private access to the beach is excellent, neat and clean beach, overall property is amazing and superb . I would love to come back soon.

We had our honeymoon planned here albeit little hesitantly. However the cleanliness maintained and safety measures taken made us feel very comfortable.
The resort is amazing, peaceful and relaxing. Indoor games and pool were closed as part of safety measures.
Restaurant zest cafe provides delicious food!
Special mention to restaurant manager Mr. Snehith who took good care of our dining requirements through the week including arranging a 4am takeaway breakfast for us on the last day when we had an early departure scheduled. Also Mr.Deepesh near reception who was ready to help us with luggage or greet us with a smile each day.
Highlight of our stay was post dinner walks in the resort to the beach and relaxing in the cold white sand. Overall Loved our stay and would definitely recommend to folks who are visiting South Goa.

I visited this place with family for almost a week, the purpose of three start was leisure and I must say that the staff made sure that we enjoyed the trip. Food quality was good and the staff was very warm and welcoming.
The location of the property is just perfect for a perfect family holiday specially during this testing time of pandemic...
