The Art Gallery of Hamilton - known to most as simply the AGH - is the region's oldest and largest public gallery. Look for the iconic gold-clad building with its AGH sign jutting out over King Street West in the heart of downtown - steps from hotels, restaurants and concert venues. With over 10,000 pieces, the AGH also has one of the most impressive permanent collections in Canada, including many renowned contemporary, Canadian and international pieces.

The opulent home of one of Canada's first premiers, Sir Allan MacNab and is now a National Historic Site. Today, costumed interpreters lead personal and intimate tours throughout Dundurn Castle that tell the story of the wealthy family who lived above stairs and the servants who lived and worked below. With over 40 military planes from the past and present, the sky's the limit at Canada's largest flying museum. Take a personalized tour, try a flight simulator, or book your own flight in a vintage aircraft. Interactive events and exhibits help visitors grasp the experience of being a military pilot and the magnitude and sacrifice of military combat.

Bayfront Park is located at the foot of Harbourfront Drive near Hamilton’s downtown core. Make use of its asphalt pathway for in-line skating, cycling, walking, and/or jogging, or take in the surrounding harbour area with access to the water's edge, naturalized areas of wildflowers, shrubs and trees, a free public boat launch, numerous benches and picnic tables, and a natural grass amphitheater. Climb aboard HMCS Haida, a WWII tribal class destroyer turned museum ship, docked at Pier 9. The kids will love exploring all the nooks and crannies here. Known as the "Fightingest Ship in the Royal Canadian Navy," this WWII destroyer is a fascinating piece of history permanently docked at Hamilton's waterfront.
