Great bed, very good service

The only thing that could have been better is to have been informed of the shuttle service upon arrival. I paid for a cab 2 times before learning the shuttle would take me to the shopping area. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and welcoming

I would like to thank the wonderful staff for great customer service and pleasant treatment of the aircrew members who lodge here. As an airline pilot who travels frequently, words along cannot express how grateful for the "little" things that Crowne Plaza JAX does for us. At many hotels we are often treated as "second class" customers often put in the least desirable rooms and we almost never receive any points or get incentives for our stay. We often have no control over where we stay as bookings are often set up through our airlines or a third party vendor. This particular is the exception and not the rule. Thank you Crown Plaza JAX for going above and beyond with outstanding customer service. I look forward to my next stay here again soon!

Extraordinary experience

This is the best value at the airport or for that matter anywhere in Jacksonville. The staff was almost overly accommodating. Everyone I encountered was both friendly and prepared to serve guests. If there was anything negative it was that I had to pay for an in room refrigerator. Minor inconvince on balance.

Room fine; find a different restaurant

Nice mattress, excellent room. Internet was tolerable but not robust. The bar/lounge area was open and exposed, adjacent to the pool area - I prefer a cozier ambiance. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was only mediocre and the offerings were not very imaginative (except for the ravioli with a variety of fillings and sauces... that was at least interesting). Most of the food was very salty. We were served a side plate of rice pilaf that had been boiled into a gluey mess with a burnt flavor, and it was basically inedible - I suppose every cook has a bad day, but this dish should not have left the kitchen. I should also mention that the hotel is not in a "walkable" area so if you're accustomed to an evening stroll or morning jog, this is not a good location.
