Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Poor stay We travel to Louisville often to see our grandchildren. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Hurstborne because it had a pool where they could play while we were there. The hotel has almost doubled it's price, and when we were there both the pool and fitness center were closed, and we were placed in the older section of the hotel, without an elevator, as far from everything in the hotel as possible. Price adjustments were not made for this total inconvienence, and no prior notice was given at the time of making reservations that the pool and fitness facility would be closed, and that rooms would not be in the newer section of the hotel. Totally frustrated the whole reason for staying there. We will not be back, even though it is convenient to where we visit in Louisville. October 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better after it is Remodeled The motel was being remodeled at the time of my stay.The pool was closed and the ice machine did not work on the floor I was on. There were only 2 ice makers working for entire motel. I was not pleased to find a Roach in my room but I did not see anymore after I disposed of the one. The staff were nice and the areas that had been remodeled looked nice. I was not in one of the remodeled rooms. Motel had some good features. Hope it gets better after remodel. September 29, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Your Typical Holiday Inn (unfortunately) The hotel is under a massive construction project and I definitely took this into account when wording this review. The bed and room were comfortable. However, the shower wall was covered in someone's hair and there was a wad of used tissue on the bathroom floor when I first walked in. I've stayed in numerous Holiday Inns and this is the first time I didn't have a fridge or microwave in my room. The bathroom had recently been renovated and looks really nice, but isn't very functional. There's a shower with a glass door, no tub. This wasn't a problem until I realized you had to get in the shower in order to turn on the water and adjust the temperature. So you're standing in freezing cold or scalding hot water while trying to adjust it. I was traveling on business so I spent several hours in the room that evening. I couldn't find the show I wanted to watch on TV. When I called the front desk to ask what channel that particular station was on, I was informed the 5th, 6th, and 7th floors are on a different cable service and don't get local channels. I looked through the guide to try to find something to watch and noticed the channels on the guide don't match what they actually get. Nothing was mentioned about breakfast when I checked in. When I went down the next morning for breakfast, I noticed a cash register in the room. I've never had to pay for breakfast at a Holiday Inn and found this to be very off-putting. This location also doesn't provide a USA today to IHG Reward Club members. Plan a few extra minutes to check out because they also don't use the rapid checkout. You have to stop at the front desk on your way out if you need a copy of your receipt. And you have to tell them you need a receipt or they won't give it to you. As someone whose job requires I travel frequently, and often to the Louisville area, I will not return to this Holiday Inn. September 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and great service Friendly and great service. Comfortable bed and pillows. Only real issue was the construction noise, but they did warn us ahead of time at check-in. Rooms did need a little updating, wallpaper falling in places and needs more outlets, although they did have a surge strip to give you a few extra outlets. September 22, 2015
