Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable but loud. check in sub par
Love the facility. Location, decor. At check in it seemed rushed with little info and welcoming. I must have missed the recognition for membership. Had to call for wifi code even tho I saw code on keycard. Toilet flush was SO LOUD, SO VERY LOUD. Could hear next room and in room would startle if woke and disturb if sleep. Could hear running? On first morning. Loud when rooms being serviced. Too loud.

Everything is as we expected--and needed--it to be to nurture and nourish bodies weary from a day's travel. We woke rested and ready for the next Holiday Inn on down the road!

Hotel is ok for an overnight stay. Staff did not go out of their way to be friendly but they were efficient. My requested room was not available but the room I had was ok.

Overall good hotel. Breakfast was less than desirable. Will stay here again.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for several days on a trip to visit my 10-year-old daughter. it was a long drive for us, and we wanted to several days with some fun. We chose this hotel because of the "indoor heated pool", versus another property's free breakfast. We had issues very quickly.
First, the morning after we checked in, a member of the housekeeping staff knocked on our door at 8:45 am! That's not even close to check-out time. I called out to her to give me a few minutes and started toward the door (we had all been sleeping due to the long trip and staying up late). Before I made it to the door, she inserted her key and tried to open the door. Thankfully, the latch was set and she was not able to enter. She apologized and said the room had been listed as being on the checkout list. The problem is that even if we were checking out, we still had 2 hours! Strike one.
After that, the same day, we decided to go to the pool. All I can say is: That is not the definition of a heated pool. I understand that part of it was outside and part of it was inside, but if a hotel calls it a heated pool, there should be provisions for that. When we got int eh water, we started shivering. We wanted to make sure the pool was working, so my 18-year-old went and asked the front desk person about it, and was spoken rather rudely to. Strike two.
The next morning, again, we had a visit from the housekeeping staff, again, before 9 a.m. Only this time she did not bother to knock on the door! Again, the latch was set, thankfully. She explained that she "didn't know anyone was in there." Strike three.
In fairness, the manager did attempt to make things right. We didnot have further issues with the housekeeping staff, and the last two nights of our stay were comped including breakfast--which, by the way, was excellent, especially given the price. There were also a couple members of the housekeeping staff that distinguished themselves with outstanding service, always asking if we needed anything unsolicited.
While I am appreciative that the manager quickly addressed my issues and sought to make things right, it would be far better to not have those issues in the first place (and certainly not a repeating issue!) In the end, I don't believe that I could honestly recommend this property to someone else, especially a family.

We had a great experience at the Vicksburg Holiday Inn during the ice storm of March. They were very helpful and accommodating.
