Candlewood cupboard

More options and dishes to cook with. Other than that was an excellent experience all the way around. Great amenities and very friendly staff.

We arrived after midnight with 2 dogs and the staff was great. We were checked in and in our very nice "pet" room in less than 10 minutes. We especially liked the fact that the room wasn't in bad shape just because it was a pet room.

Though we rested well, I was displeased with the fact all of the doors didn’t work with the keys and housekeeping staff seemed to be interested in if I was leaving items behind more so than cleaning the room. Didn’t like being pressured for a tip or rushed out. I only stayed one night.

the hotel was in construction but it was still clean and staff was awsome. They took care of me like a member of the family . She even told me of the best Pizza place in town . Great Place to stay for the weekend

STOP...don't book this hotel. We couldn't believe the ratings were as high as they were for this place. The complaints are too numerous to list. There were non-English speaking people ONLY in this hotel. The men were laying around everywhere you looked...in the pool area, in the lobby, outside where the BBQ grill was, etc. I had booked a king room but my needs changed and I needed a double room, I asked when I checked in if they had anything else available. I was told a volleyball tournament was taking place in town and there were no open rooms. There were no open rooms because every room was filled by non-English speaking people. Not one person showed up that appeared to be of volleyball tournament age. Obviously a lie! There were unattended, screaming children running the halls all evening. The room across the hall from our room had their Mexican music blaring and no less than 15 men in that room partying. We called the front desk and were told that they had been harboring these people for over a year. We would not have stayed here if we had known this beforehand. Terrible situation! Not to mention, the room was expensive!!

Walked in really excited about my 3 night stay in the king one-bedroom suite with my family. Was immediately told that they did not have any one bedrooms at all, but just the studio suites and none with a king. I was very upset at the time, asked if they at least still have the sofa (bed) couch. They said no.
I asked why they can't call when a Reservation is made so far in advance..she had no answer. So we stayed in a much smaller room, but over all the hotel was pretty amazing, the room I paid for wasn't what I got..she said they would take 10 dollars off each night, and I don't think they did in the end. Gave me 10 bucks to the little store, and said they'd give me extra points on the IHG website (I'm not sure if that was done of not). I really just wish I could have received a phone call when I made the reservation that it's not what I'd be getting.
The amenities were awesome. Hotel was great all-around. Clean and wonderful privacy.

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There were no disturbances. I would have liked oatmeal cookies. I enjoyed the SEMO basketball game I attended. Cape G. was a very welcoming community.
Made a quick stop.

During a recent trip from Iowa to Louisiana my wife, dog and I decided to leave early and get a room halfway instead of driving nonstop. We got a late start and we made it here around 1am. Best shirt nights sleep I've had in a long time. Up early and refreshed the next day ahead of schedule. Great place to stay.
Winter Fun at Candlewood Cape Girardeau

I used my points to stay at this Candlewood for my daughter's volleyball tournament. First the front desk staff was well above par. They were professional and personable -the perfect mix. The room was very clean, along with the pool, weight room and laundry facilities. The 'cupboard' is under renovation but they used a standard room as a fix and it was nicely done. I loved the touch of posted 'notes' next to the elevator that provided guests with a lot of information. Winter fun or anytime this property is a must stay!
