Must See

One morning why not get up early and enjoy a beautiful sunrise over Coogee Beach. You could do this from your room balcony, on the beach or up on the cliffs on the north side of the beach. If you are visiting between May and October, look out for whales migrating up and down the coast too! Other place to see during your visit are Royal Randwick where you can enjoy the races or Centennial Park.

What's New

The 2021–22 Big Bash League season or BBL|11 is scheduled to be the eleventh season of the Big Bash League. 61 games will be held across the summer with hometown heroes the Sydney Sixers hosting three matches at the Sydney Cricket Ground on December 5, 11 & 21.

Must Do

Enjoy everything Coogee Beach has to offer, go surfing or stand up paddle boarding, paddle in the waves or just relax on the sand. From Coogee Beach you can start the iconic Coogee to Bondi coastal walk. It winds its way along 6km of picturesque coastal paths, taking around an hour to complete. Other things we love in the area are taking a dip at Wylie's Baths and exploring the local boutiques.

Don't Go Home Without

Energising with a swim at Wylies Baths, 5 minutes' walk from Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach-Sydney. The shimmering 50-yard ocean pool overlooks picturesque Wedding Cake Island and caters for beginners to serious swimmers. Finish with a soothing massage.

Unwind on Coogee Beach

Grab a towel, some sunscreen from concierge and step outside onto Coogee Beach. Spend the day relaxing on the golden sand as you soak up the beautiful Coogee sunshine.

Wylie's Bath

Take a quick dip or do some laps and admire the 180 degree views of the Pacific Oceans and Wedding Cakes Island in this beautiful tidal pool. You don’t have to go far to experience the baths, they’re just a few hundred meters south of Coogee Beach and sit right below the Coastal Walk.

Yoga by the Sea

Promote calmness and stillness in the mind and relaxation in the body with Yoga classes with a view. Practice yoga overlooking Coogee Beach at The Living Room Yoga Studio or at Wylie’s Baths overlooking the ocean tidal pool. It’s the perfect way to re-energise in the morning or anytime of day. Further details are available at Concierge.

Swim with the Gropers at Clovelly Beach

Escape to the smaller and tranquil Clovelly Beach for a snorkel with local and friendly Blue Gropers, diving or some quality family time. Pack your goggles, pick up a towel and sunscreen from concierge and then head down and find a spot on the promenade to spend the day.

Explore Centennial Park

Spend the day at nearby Centennial Park, a playground for both adults and kids that is only 15 minutes away by car. Hire a bicycle and explore the labyrinth of bike ways all over the park. You may also want to spend an hour exploring the parkland on horseback. The parklands offer lots of seasonal events, including Swing Fit, held each Saturday and designed for women to try golf with little commitment. Simply turn up to one, or as many sessions as you like in your active wear.

Visit The Spot

Take a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to The Spot, the place to be for shopping, specialty stores, dining options, heritage buildings and one of the original art deco cinemas. The iconic Ritz Cinema shows the latest blockbusters and mainstream movies.
