I booked the hotel due to its location and suggested comfort.
During peak-times of check-in, the waiting time is quite long with more than 20 minutes sitting on the sofa, with no more than one (huge
family) or two guests completing their check-in. Seeing the provided data for all reservations, this MUST be organised more efficiently. Separating check-in and check-out areas (and indicating the counters) would be useful.
Guests should be aware that the resort is often booked by large families. Due to the combination of the number of their children and the way many of them are brought up and treated (i.e. totally spoiled), expect loud and running kids in the restaurant throughout your stay. Also, some restaurant staff should put more attention to newly seated guests, when offering tea or coffee.
Quite disturbing is the noise level that is caused by the open-air “disco” around one of the pools. Music does not stop until 11 p.m. and has a bumping bass. Otherwise, there is also music throughout the day in all areas, including in the restaurants
While curtains in the rooms are thick enough to darken the room, one thing that should be carefully checked is whether you have curtains or drapes, otherwise, you will have to choose to see what is happening outside (and be seen inside), or close the curtains, resulting in no view in either direction.
The number of swimming pools is amazing and the separation of pools for children/families and adults makes it relaxing for both. Unfortunately, the quite small beach area at the shores of the Dead Sea is not too welcoming: a small swimming area, limited with a cord, and no services (drink, food, scrubbing) provided on the beach. Instead, taking some of the Dead Sea mud is the only thing you can do for yourself. An outstanding service is to have staff present at all pools, including the Sea, at all times.
Guest relations/customer care was very helpful, understanding and supportive. Special thanks to Mr. Ammer and Mrs. Marinelli for their initiative and efforts to fulfil the requests!
In the same vein, the Crew Captain in the restaurant did a great job. [Weniger]
