Good hotel. Staff is always outstanding. I was staying for 3 nights second night woke up to Ants in the bed, nightstand and floor. When I did check in with the front desk ( I had already packed and placed my luggage back in my vehicle). AL at the front desk told me that they had been having problems last week with ants in the room ( #216) in the wall socket ( which is where they were) I told him just set me up in another room he said no problem and he would add 5k points to my account. I said fine, thank you and left. And when I returned later that day I was given another room and the lady at the desk apologized and also said AL had added 5 K points to my account. I again thanked them for their help. BUT NO POINTS!!!
OH WELL. But other than this I will continue to stay here on my visits to Madisonville.

I have stayed at a lot of the Holiday Inn Express properties and this is by far the least challenging experience I have ever had. The property is unique in appearance, comfortable and well maintained.
I was amazed at how quiet the room was. The bed was very comfortable.

The man at the front desk did not acknowledge our platinum status nor greet us as members, that makes a very poor first impression. It was nearly midnight, we had driven 400 miles and were tired, he took a long time to check us in, kept asking us to produce various IDs and credit card, even though we were using our IHG credit card which was on file and had been used when we booked online. We've stayed at this hotel many times before and have always had extremely fast check-in and the front desk employees have always been fantastic, but not this time!

Hotel appearance is great, check in went smoothly, however the person at the check in counter was pretty nosey and his sense of humor a little off-putting. The room was excellent with the only problems being the coffee maker malfunctioning and the mildly annoying problem that the bathroom door would not stay open without propping it open.
