Shower and bathroom floor had a lot of mold growing on it bad part it’s a handicap unit
Desk lady was great and they did move me but all I recieved was one night forio
I would of thought the two day stay would of been free of charge but it wasn’t
A hot shower after work is great to wind down by not when you have to stand in mold and also both bathroom lights were not working
They could of done better with free stay in the future or a great amount of points
I would never imagined the Holiday being that moldy
It was horrible

This is always my preferred place to stay while I’m in Jackson. The staff are polite and professional. Breakfast is top notch. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Michelle does an excellent job managing this hotel!
Remarkably Friendly Staff on a Full House night

Everyone we encountered at the stay was friendly and welcoming. On Commencement Weekend at MSU and UMich all of the hotels within 50 miles were booked solid and this was a wonderfully quiet hotel. Sharing a parking lot with Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel is a plus!

First off the staff was very kind and friendly. Got into my room. The property is a bit dated. Floor is uneven and air conditioner vibrates excessively. Make it impossible to sleep. Called front desk and they offered me another room. No bother I opened the window it was cooling off outside. Reminded front desk to have maintenance look at ac unit. By then never tried to use it again. Staff was very considerate and friendly.
Very calm, peaceful environment and accommodating staff!

pros- the staff were very nice and welcoming, the breakfast was your normal breakfast I wish there was regular sausage just not the Turkey variety. We were placed on the 1st floor away from the elevator as requested.
Cons- outside there was trash everywhere along the backside of the hotel in the lot and the tree line. There were cigarette butts all over the ground near the doors. There was a lot of noise/slamming doors during the night in the hallway and people were banging on the door next to us in the morning around 8 AM not to early, but still.
The room was nice but the wall covering was coming off the wall in the bathroom. With another Holiday Inn Express nearby I wonder if this one was once another hotel brand. I will probably go back to that one when we stay in the area next work trip in the fall.

Hotel room was not well maintained, wallpaper was coming off the wall in the bathroom. The outside area was littered with trash and cigarette butts everywhere. The front desk staff were nice and friendly. There were people talking, yelling, doors slamming at different times during the night.
Hotel allows other guests to rent rooms as dog kennels

I stayed at the Jackson Michigan Holiday Inn Express and Suites. I was there for work for several days. The first night there was a yipping dog in the room next to me, despite the sign at the front desk that the quiet comfort of their guests was paramount, and they did not allow parties, even birthday parties or anniversaries.
I called to ask the front desk person to find the owners and have them take their dog on a walk or to remove the pet entirely as it was barking incessently. She arrived at the annoying room and confirmed there was a dog, called me back after not being able to reach the room renters, and said she confirmed their was a dog and it was against policy to have one barking all the time and that the renters would be asked to leave.
Fast forward to the next night and the dog was still there, I once more called the front desk and she said it was not handled well, the renters had "worked something out" with the manager and were staying one more night. On this night, not only was the dog barking a ton, but the room smelled of pot despite the "NO SMOKING" policy of the hotel. I promised I would write the owner and manager of this location, and this is what I have done.
The staff had an unacceptable attitude toward quiet, paying professional customers who simply need a good night's rest, and hotel staff demonstrated willingness to allow renters to sub-let their rooms as dog kennels.

I work for the same company and I think this hotel is so much better. The cleanliness organization and the overall hotel was beautiful and very well managed. Thanks to everyone who helped during my stay. I will highly recommend this hotel
