Hotel Indigo Spokane
Hotel Indigo Spokane
Spokane rests at the heart of Washington State's Inland Empire, with the Hotel Indigo® Spokane centered downtown, minutes away from the Spokane River and Convention Center. This sunny city, offering a stark, atmospheric contrast to drizzly Seattle on the Pacific Coast, has seen its share of transformative history over the years. Our hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has interlaced some of that history into the design and can be seen in our restaurant, bar, and business center. Each of our elevator lobbies is themed after one of the previous names for the hotel: the Willard, Atlantic, Milner, Earle, and the Otis. The original, black-and-white mosaic tiles, along with the original wood pillars and moldings, have been conserved, and all of our 108 rooms boast an interactive mural of Spokane, giving our guests an authentic feel for this colorful riverside city.

Neighborhoods
Explore our neighborhood.
Downtown Spokane, or Riverside, is a humming engine of culinary, cultural, and shopping activity. This compact, endlessly entertaining district, which never lacks for food or amusement, is filled to capacity with trendy bistros, bars, and restaurants. It also includes several renovated theaters and plenty of retail destinations, from on-trend shops to quirky boutiques. Adjacent the roaring Spokane Falls, the Riverside neighborhood, first settled by Europeans in the late 1800s, is chock-full of history considering its relatively short time as an urban hub. The historical buildings packed into this vivacious metropolitan tell part of its story through brick, metal, and stone. For the discerning traveler who'd prefer to reside at the core of a city's cultural scene, downtown Riverside is definitely the place to be.
For a pristine view of Riverfront Park (built for the Expo '74 World's Fair) and the mighty, multi-tiered cascades of Spokane Falls, as well as the city's beautiful hand-carved carousel, stroll along the stretch of the Centennial Trail that slices through downtown known as the River Walk. For a bird's-eye view, take a gondola trip on the Spokane Falls Skyride.
Manito Park is a lush 90-acre park brimming over with gardens and attractions, including the stunning Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden, a greenhouse conservatory, and several playgrounds. Located in Spokane's South Hill Neighborhood, Manito is crisscrossed with walking paths, which lead to the gardens and playgrounds, as well as the beloved duck pond.
Downtown is a cornucopia of shopping and dining spots to explore. Wander among the well-maintained historic buildings at street level, or through the iconic, revitalized pedestrian skywalk on the way to the River Park Square shopping mall. Come nightfall, swing by an upscale bar serving artisanal beers and refreshing cocktails, or else hit a live music club.
Every June, Spokane hosts Hoopfest, the world's largest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament. With 450 basketball courts spread across 45 city blocks, the incredible number of amateur and elite teams — and the carnival atmosphere that surrounds them — are a sight to be seen.
The Spokane Symphony's seventy-piece orchestra performs more than 60 concerts a year. Shows range from Baroque music played in churches to classical symphonic masterpieces with celebrated guest solo artists performed at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox (the Symphony's home). They even explore popular music and play along to beloved movies as a live soundtrack.
In addition to housing the Symphony, the glorious art deco Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox (first opened in 1931) hosts a wide variety of performances and events. This ornate space, steps from the Hotel Indigo, holds dance events, welcomes renowned musical artists, and offers patrons a marvelous architectural atmosphere as they take in a show.
The Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena is a 12,000-seat sport and event center where big acts come to put on a show. From professional and college sports to performances from global giants like Elton John, the Foo Fighters, and Metallica, the arena — just north of the Spokane River — is where anyone with a hankering for a larger-than-life spectacle should go.
This 2,700-capacity arts venue, once known as both the Opera House and the INB Performing Arts Center, is the perfect riverside locale for ballet performances, concerts, Broadway musicals, road shows, and opera. The center was initially built for the 1974 World's Fair, although it went through a massive renovation in 2018.
This laidback yet chic bistro focuses on “regionally sourced northwest cuisine." Local ingredients like heirloom vegetables, wild mushrooms, as well as Kobe beef and Kurobuta pork are creatively infused into a variety of seasonal dishes that will undoubtedly whet customers' appetites and have them swinging by more than once for a zesty meal.
Frank's Diner is for breakfast lovers and train aficionados. Voted the best breakfast in Spokane for nearly twenty years, the diner sits inside an old railroad car that was transformed in 1932 into a stylishly appointed diner car. Try the Creole Benedict with lobster and crab, or the hearty Hobo Scramble.
Overlooking the thunderous Spokane River, Clinkerdaggers has been serving Spokanites mouthwatering steaks, fresh seafood, and zesty pasta dishes for more than 40 years. The ambiance is tastefully refined, the views are sublime, and the food is some of the best in the region. A hearty meal here is a great way to get to know the city.
Spokane's Steam Plant (built in 1914), with its iconic smokestacks shooting into the sky, now houses the Steam Plant Kitchen + Brewery. This lively eatery serves up tasty snacks like their Fire-Roasted Corn Bread, the stone hearth BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza, and the Filet Mignon (accompanied by wood-roasted mushrooms). Complement your pick with a delicious ale from the Brewery.
