My family and I recently stayed at this property as it is close to the Disney World parks and we had a few extra days during Spring Break outside of WDW, and we figured we could enjoy the water park and other amenities during the stay. We booked for a single king room with two bunks, however getting into the room, the bed was a queen, not a king. While this wasn't a huge issue, it seemed to lead onto a list of other issues we had with our stay.
During check in, they have a separate line for Diamond and Platinum members, which I've been for over 7 years now, however the staff repeatedly called up guest from the general line prior to their "priority" line. So don't expect better treatment for being a loyal rewards member. The front desk staff who did get me checked in was polite and helpful, mentioned that the pool opens at 9am to 6pm, turns out it is 9am to 7pm now that daylight savings started, and there is a shuttle to WDW. However, when you scan the QR code to get the shuttle scheduled, you find out the bus only goes to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Not only that, but if you plan on being there from opening to closing, you cannot use the shuttle as its times will not allow you. Magic Kingdom is pickup at the hotel at 8:30am, and picked up at the park at 5:20pm. Where as Epcot hotel pickups are 9:30 and 10:45am, and park pick ups at 8:20, 9:20 and 10:20pm. So now instead of having an easy shuttle to the parks, we had to drive and pay for parking there also.
Housekeeping is pretty poorly ran at this "resort." During the 8 nights we stayed, they came into the room for 6, and we were out the door by 9:30am everyday, and of those 6, they never once made a bed and only 1 day did they replenish the towels. On their daily services card they have in the room, they mentioned that towels would replenished, trash taken out and beds made daily. On our 4th night, I went to the front desk, as I had a question about parking, which I'll add to later, and asked for towels to be delivered to the room as the housekeeping staff would take the towels as they were used, but never get us new ones, they said they would be sent up right away, after an hour of waiting, we gave up and went to bed. We finally got a towel refresh on Friday, we checked in on the prior Saturday.
I noticed while showering one day, I looked into the vent in the bathroom, and noticed that the vent was full of dust, as it has not been cleaned in years. My wife then pointed out that the sprinkler heads were also dusty. She also pointed out how the desk leg was fully rusted.
My family went to try out the breakfast on two of the mornings, on the first, the food was of ok taste, however many of the items were cold. This was immediately after opening, as the staff had to go and unlock one of the outer doors for us to enter. On the second day, I had gotten one of my kids a glass of chocolate milk, but after one sip he spit it out saying it tasted bad. I sniffed the cup and you can easily tell that the milk had gone rancid.
The remote ceiling fan in the master bedroom seemed to have a mind of its own, as it would randomly change speeds. We typically kept it at low speed, however every time we'd come back, on days the housekeeping staff had come to the room, it would be at high. At first I just assumed it was the staff turning it up for one reason or another, but on our last night, as my wife and I laid in the bed, the fan suddenly increased speed and started to wobble. At which point I just turned it off.
Also on the last night, when we returned to the room, the smoke detector started to chirp due to a low battery. I called down to maintenance, explained that a smoke detector was chirping and sounds like it needs batteries replaced. However when the maintenance tech came up, he was told it was a sprinkler issue and seemed annoyed by the call up.
The TVs/remotes were subpar compared to other IHG properties I stayed at, while the room had 3 different TVs and remotes, none of the buttons on the 3 would work on all the TVs even with them all being the same brands. The TV in the main/living area, sounded as if the speakers had previously been blown out and therefore the quality and volume was just low.
This place charges $29 a night to park, however starting on our 4th night, we couldn't get any spots anywhere close to our room. On that same night, there was a trailer taking up a space however those of us who are guest cannot find decent parking. So I hope if you stay out pass 6pm, that you enjoy walking from the opposite side of the resort to get to your room.
The pool hours, which I mentioned earlier are ONLY for the pool, not the water park. My room faced the park, so on the mornings we didn't have Disney plans, we looked out and would see the slides dry and figured, the slides were closed and would make other plans. We didn't find out this was different until my last day when we came in early that the water park had different hours. Which was posted NO WHERE easily accessible, or on the site.
I brought up all of these concerns to the manager during check out, and she stated that the water park hours are on the site and in the app, they aren't. When I mentioned the housekeeping issues, she said she'd add 5000 points, which I have yet to see and we checked out a week ago. When the parking issues came up, she just stated they are busy and its all first come first serve. Nothing about how a trailer can park and take up valuable space.
For a place that charges resort fees and parking, it is way overpriced. This place was probably amazing in the 90s when Nickelodeon Studios was a still thing, but they seem to be stuck there and still trying to ride that wave.

Room was great. Bed was comfortable. Check out is so early we were unable to use amenities the day of check out. Food is very very expensive and not worth the price.

We booked this trip last minute, and had never stayed there before. We were pleasantly surprised at the activities, the pool, the food ON location and the amazing staff.
The location of the hotel is also amazing. It's not on a main drag - so safe for the kids and quiet, but it's close enough to go to places when we needed to by car. We were also thankful for the free shuttle to and from Walt Disney World!! This was so nice to just jump on a bus, arrive and then be picked up and dropped off at the door.
We stayed on the 5th floor, and usually we didn't have a wait time for the elevator, but in the future, I might ask to be on the first level, closer to the pool just for convenience.
This will be your favorite hotel

IHG has done it. Great hotel, a wonderful water park, a great breakfast (that's included), and a bus to Disney parks. I love the staff at the desk, they are truly kind and knowledgable.

Great concept great location, pool however, extremely packed. Super strong chlorine smell. Very noisy restaurant tables never cleaned. Food piled up. Ridiculously charged for parking.

Kids had a blast! Rooms were clean, staff was amazing. Food was delicious! I will definitely be coming back for another stay!

I love the pool, food and room. However, the parking not available late hours was uncomfortable. We parked so far then to walk to our room. The worst part is to pay for the entire day due to a flight delayed but leave at 6PM. I think you should a small center room to play with the kids and adult. Pretty sure many people felt upset to pay for a service they didn’t use. Who knows they can have someone sleep there you already paid for the night. Not fair for the customer at all.

They should put more money into upkeep of the hotel! Many things at the waterpark weren't working and the water in that pool was too cold for my kids to even enjoy. Our room had the door handle of the bathroom door nearly falling off and the shower handle DID fall off. These were brought to staff attention and the door handle wasn't touched but the shower handle was "fixed" and by fixed I mean reattached only. Even still once it got to 10 (referencing a clock) it would fall to 7 (again on a clock) so we either had cold showers or way to hot...couldn't take a comfortable shower.
The air conditioning unit is censored so at night it would get quite hot in there and you would have to get up and walk past the unit for it to turn on and cool down...but in order to keep it cool you would have to continue to do this all night long...
It says the come in to replenish towels, take trash etc daily, never once was our trash taken, we ended up setting it outside the door once it was overflowing, nor towels (we did ask one time when we saw housekeeping so we were able to get clean/new ones) and most of time we were out of the room so they could have came in to replenish. But the day we were to checkout we had housekeeping knock on our door two times before 9am! Couldn't seem to get housekeeping "help" otherwise...
Security was great! We lost our key one time, they helped us to get in our room. Someone in the pool area had a complaint, they addressed and corrected the situation! There were quite a few options for food and that was good!
Parking was a nightmare on the weekend part of our stay, my opinion if they charge you $24/day to park, they should have a parking spot for you, not be so filled that people were parking along the edges everywhere, left me to worry about someone hitting our vehicle!

The hotel was clean and we liked the guest room upon check-in. However, throughout our stay it became apparent that there was a problem with the water. There was no hot water early in the day only later on. It is not fun to shower in cold water on a vacation.
