InterContinental Brisbane A new era for Brisbane’s most coveted luxury address.

An architectural icon. A bold new vision. Discover the transformation of InterContinental Brisbane.

A local icon, reimagined.

InterContinental Brisbane is embarking on one of the city’s most significant luxury hotel evolutions, with a multimillion-dollar investment set to completely reimagine the iconic property and establish a bold new chapter for Brisbane hospitality. Beginning in October 2026, the transformation will unfold progressively through to late 2027.

Discover the vision.

Led by globally recognised architects Woods Bagot, the design will honour the modernist legacy of the Harry Seidler-designed building through a distinctly subtropical Queensland lens. Mid-century modern principles, natural light, timeless craftsmanship and warm materials will shape the transformation, with the hotel’s generous atrium at its heart.

A new expression of luxury.

Guestrooms and suites, meeting and event spaces, and wellness facilities will be reimagined, alongside a new arrival experience and a light-filled Club InterContinental sanctuary. New dining destinations will include an Argentinian grill restaurant and an intimate Italian pasta and wine bar, complemented by a reimagined lobby bar.

Watch the next chapter unfold.

This is your first glimpse into the future of Brisbane’s most coveted luxury address.

Join us as we reveal the spaces, share the design story and bring the vision to life through October 2026 to late 2027.
