Its central prang (spire or stupa), adorned with colorful porcelain and seashells, is an impressive focal point visible from afar.

Established in 1782, this ceremonial residence of the Kings of Thailand features several magnificent buildings like the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Take your time to explore the imposing courtyards and visit the major landmarks within the Grand Palace complex. Visit the Queen Sirikit Museum, where you can view the stunning textiles on display. Don't miss Khon Performances—known as the Thailand's masked dance drama—at Sala Chalermkrung Royal Theatre.

Jim Thompson Surawong Flagship Store

Jim Thompson is the iconic brand born from one man’s extraordinary vision to revive the Thai silk industry. Founded in 1950 by James H.W. Thompson—an American architect, art collector and cultural pioneer—the brand helped bring Thai silk to global prominence. With a deep respect for Thai artisans and a passion for innovation, Jim Thompson created a bridge between East and West, introducing a rich craft tradition to the world and empowering generations of weavers in the process.

Mahanakhon Tower

The tower is the shape of a square prism with the appearance of a rough spiral with cuboidal surfaces cut into the side of the building. The building features a pixelated ribbon that swirls around the exterior, peeling back its surface layer to expose an inner layer, creating balconies with views of the city. The glass walls are divided horizontally and vertically, adding to the building's "pixelated" and "unfinished" appearance.
