A complete mess from start to finish

I reserved a Suite online 3 weeks ahead of a wedding. We were told to check in at 3pm. We arrived at 3:30pm and our room was not ready. The man told us to wait 10 minutes - go have a coffee - and come back. We did. The room still was not ready. He sent us away 2 more times. By 4:45 we were getting nervous, as we needed to get ready for the wedding that started at 5:30. I was told our Suite style room was not available, and there wouldn't be one available. They asked if we would stay in another style room. At this point, it was 5pm and I said yes, please just give us any room available. They checked us in, and we walked in to a room that had NOT been cleaned - there was food everywhere, bed unmade, bathroom wet, etc. We changed our clothes quickly and took our belongings back to our car. I told the man at the desk and he said he would move us. I told him we had to leave for the wedding and that our room should be FREE. He said he would comp it. When we got back from the wedding around 11:30pm we finally got a room, with two small beds. The room was free but we left feeling like we should have just driven home after the wedding. There's no way, after the complete run-around, that we'd go back or recommend the hotel to others. He also said he would comp our parking, and there wasn't even an attendant there when we left - what a joke!!

Messed up my reservation

This hotel is nice but it messed up my hotel reservation. I booked a King Exec suite and was put in a king room. That is unsatisfactory when you spent as much money as I did on my stay. I also had dirty clothes left from the previous guest left in the bathroom. Pretty ridiculous

Dated Hotel

This hotel is under renovation - some areas such as the lobby and bar and some guest rooms are newly redecorated, other areas - looking very run down.

The exterior is looking very rough, the poor is out of order, the corridors in rough shape.

The hotel is located very near the convention center and decent restaurants are short walk away. The onsite dinning is very limited - The Starbucks is about all you can expect.

Watch for convention and groups - this hotel caters to party events - a very noisy and crowded stay.

It is our mission to ensure that every guest who stays with us leaves with a positive opinion of our hotel and our City. I am disappointed that we were not made aware of your concerns prior to your departure so that we could have addressed them and done something to make it up to you. I would like to address a couple of your comments. Our Pool is not out of order, it is a seasonal pool, only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day because it is outdoors. We also, have a full service restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with room service serving a full menu all day, in addition to the Starbucks in the lobby. Also, while we are a downtown hotel, we do get a lot of convention groups as to be expected but I assure you, it isn't always so crowded and noisy. I certainly hope that you will give us another try should your travels bring you back to the KC area. We are dedicated to guest service and guest satisfaction. I can assure you that we utilize every bit of feedback to help improve our service, and we will use your feedback to make changes that will better serve our guests.
