This hotel seems unassuming from the outside, but inside I found a hotel with a staff that truly cares about the well-being of its customers. Because I arrived a bit early in the day (well before the[More] check-in time), I was concerned about how I would spend my time waiting for a room to become available. But, without prompting on my part, the staff quickly showed me to the executive lounge where I waited for my room in comfort (and with internet access).
This is but one of several positive encounters I had with the staff during my stay in Fukuoka. It made me realize that the ANA Crowne Plaza near Hakata Station is the best choice for me on my future visits to the area.[Less]
Great Location, Clean but Small
Western hotel that is part of the ANA chain of hotels (located in most major cities of Japan). The hotel was modern and clean, but the room was extremely small. In today’s electronic gadget era,[More] there is a need for more outlets especially near the bedside –so bring an extension cord. The location was perfect – only a few blocks from the Hakata train station. We used this hotel as a staging point for day trips to Nagasaki, Kasoshima, and Kumamoto. There is a 7 eleven nearby (ATM to get cash) and a coin laundry a few blocks away. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that. We found this chain to be one of the best for convenience, amenities and price.[Less]
