Booked on the hotel website.
Stayed for 3 nights.
Room on second floor, but there was no elevator in the building. This should have been clearly mentioned on the web page.
There was no internet service in the room, none at all.
Told the front desk, they said they'll look into it. Nothing happened in 3 days, Other than above issues, it's okay.

I was impressed with the hrounds and pool area. The restaurant was very nice with a varied menu as well.

The hotel has very nice facility and amenities. Majority of the staffs are friendly and helpful.
The location is a little far from downtown Bar Harbor, but not a big concern for us.
It's all going well until the last two hours. In the morning of our departure date, we loaded big luggage in the car, went down to the restaurant for breakfast. Went back up to the room, and found out it was all cleaned up and ready for the next guest. And that was an hour before the 11am check out time. Everything we left behind got thrown away. Some of the little things we could buy again. But the Junior Ranger book our son worked really hard on couldn't be replicated on the day we were about to leave. When we checked with front desk, we were told that it's impossible to find the stuff they threw away. You can imagine how upset my son was. To make it worse, my husband decided to take a shower around 10:30am. The housekeeping staffs were pounding on the doors and extremely rude, as they wouldn't want us to use the room any more. ALL before 11 am and before we checked out. Now I have an unhappy son AND an unhappy husband. When talking to the front desk, they made it sound like we were stupid not knowing their express checkout policy. There were no sincere apologies.
I hate to give bad reviews. So I made the last try a week ago to call the Holiday Inn customer service. The service rep was very courteous. And promised that she'll ask the manager to contact us within 48 hours. Now over 200 hours have passed, no phone call yet. Extremely disappointed at the customer service of the used to be our favorite hotel chain. I'll think twice before I book with Holiday Inn again.
