The person making the staff replies is the person who was so rude and upsetting to me that I left my vacation early.
I was embarrasses by her and the front desk manager and for her to say that she will review it with staff is Bull when she is one of the people causing the problem.
I have never seen so many staff complaints at a hotel then this one and that is disappointing because it use to be a great hotel.

Enjoyed our stay. Atmosphere was wonderful, nice and quiet. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. View of the bay was wonderful. East access to Bar Harbor and Acadia Park.

Our party of 4 checked in in Aug, we had reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights with rewards points. We were told one of the rooms had been cancelled, but they couldn't explain why. I have never dealt with such immature and rude hotel staff. The manager on duty refused to come out for about 30 mins. Finally, she did when we made a fuss. We had been told there is no manager on duty. After some time, they offered us a second room in a separate bldg for $279. Refused to let us use our points, as we had booked. We showed them a confirmation that showed the points had already been charged to our account. Andrea actually mocked me and another member of our party when we asked to be accommodated because it was a hotel error that cancelled the room. She laughed at me and said "that isn't going to happen, I will not down grade other guests for you". She told another member of my party she wasn't allowed to speak with her. I have never experienced anything like it. They made the mistake and refused to try and work out a solution. All 4 of us #adults# ended up in one very crowded room for 2 nights with a child size air mattress that deflated during the night. After about a dozen calls and emails to the General Manager, I received assurances from him about a week or more later that I would be credited back with all the points used for these nights plus some bonus points. Well, they never credited all the points promised, and shorted us by 20,000 points. I waited until now to write this because I gave them the opportunity to do as promised, but they failed. If you want to be mistreated by very young, immature and inexperienced staff, this is the place for you. IHG management needs to deal with issues like this in the management of their properties, if they want people to continue in their rewards programs.
