Holiday Inn Fulda is an ideal starting point for adventure discoveries of our fair Baroque city with its unforgettable Baroque district and imposing cathedral. Visitors also flock to the Baroque city palace and the Orangerie. And at the very gates of the city, begins the breathtaking Rhoen mountain region, the "Land of Open Spaces" with its own biosphere reservation.
"Most Quiet and Comfortable Hotel Room I Can Remember"
By Aloha E
I wasn't expecting much from this Holiday Inn when I booked. I just needed somewhere close to Frankfurt, but not too close.
I was so pleasantly surprised: although a dated hotel, this was probably[More]
the most quiet and comfortable hotel room I've ever had at this price.
The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We were travelling with two children, and they were very accommodating to our needs. The hotel was amazingly quiet and our room had no ambient or white noise, unless we opened the windows. The room was very clean with surprisingly clean and new carpets. The whole experience was luxurious beyond our expectations.
The beds in both rooms were very comfortable with nice pillows and down blankets.
The best surprise of the visit was the great location of the hotel. We were within a short walking distance to some amazing sights in the Fulda Old City, including the palace and palace gardens.
We hope to return to this hotel in the future. Really, the only thing I would change would be the parking situation: you have to drive down three levels to park, so it's not very convenient if you have to leave often. We just walked everywhere, so it wasn't too much of a problem for us, but something other guests might want to think about: maybe ask if you can park on the ground level if you have to leave often.
