In our hotels and in communities all over the world, IHG’s talented and passionate colleagues deliver True Hospitality for Good, every day. IHG Army Hotels shares in this commitment across our portfolio of hotels on post, and in the communities we serve. Because for us, service doesn’t end at check out.
Starting in 2020, IHG Army Hotels team participate in fundraising events to support this non-profit organization that honors the sacrifice of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to serve others on Sept. 11, 2001. The foundation also honors military and first responders who are dedicated to serving our country. Beneficiaries include catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, fallen first responder families, and Gold Star families. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation also builds mortgage-free smart homes for wounded veterans and first responders. Each home is designed to address the owner’s unique needs.
Through our partnership with the Fisher House network of houses, we’ve donated over $775,000 to help house soldiers and their families free-of-charge while a loved one is undergoing medical treatment at a nearby hospital. The Fisher House Foundation and its network of houses have provided $451 million in savings to families since 1990.
The Teen Academy is a summer internship training program created by IHG® Army Hotels. Through it, we offer employees’ children real experience working in the hospitality industry, a way to earn money through seasonal employment, and a place to grow.
Throughout multiple on-post sponsorships and initiatives, like US Army MWR, IHG® Army Hotels invest upwards of $500K annually into the military community.
