From Kansas City Int'l Airport: Follow I-29 North. Take exit 18. Go west on Route 92. Follow signs that point left (west) toward Leavenworth, approx. 10 miles. Cross the Missouri River Bridge continue on Metropolitan Ave to Main Gate on right.

The Frontier Army Museum is a must-see at Fort Leavenworth. You'll discover fascinating collections of uniforms, weapons, artifacts and equipment dating back to the early 1800s. They even have a presidential carriage used by Abraham Lincoln in 1859.
Be sure to make a stop by the Rookery, the oldest continuously occupied home in Kansas. Construction began back in 1827 when Fort Leavenworth was established and was used as a home for commanders. Today this historic home is a National Historic Landmark.
Don't leave Fort Leavenworth without playing a round at the Trails West Golf Course. The 18-hole regulation course features 190 acres of gorgeous, tree-lined fairways and bent-grass greens. It also has a lighted driving range, Pro Shop and Fairway Grille.
