    Extremely terrible experience ‼️

    This was my worst experience ever in any hotel. A guest came in with an unleashed dog that ran after me the lobby. The staff were exceedingly rude and very unprofessional. I had to check out after 1 night, the room was musty , bathroom drainage was faulty, the tv remote was not working. To top it all the morning staff called the police on me when I demanding for my receipt she failed to provide. I left the hotel so upset and no receipt! This HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN ANY HOTEL BEFORE. My daughter was crying hysterically because we were being delayed at the lobby and we had to leave for her college graduation ceremony and yet the staff humiliated me by calling the police because I was understandably upset ❗️

    Worst Hotel Experience Ever

    So, I came to Houston for a new job and booked a hotel room for one month, as it was close to my new office and affordable. I've stayed at IHG hotels in the past and I'm a Rewards member. So I had no concerns booking sight unseen. Boy, do I wish I had checked Yelp before I did this!

    1) Only ONE valet cart for the entire hotel.
    2) No housekeeping staff (the front desk clerk was having to pull double-duty.
    3) Bathroom fixtures in shower were being held up by painter's tape.
    4) Parking lot was full of evidence of folks using the parking lot instead of the hotel rooms to 'get busy'.
    GROSS!

    Since I would already be on the hook for the first night, I stayed overnight and checked into another hotel even closer to my office the very next day. When I checked out, I got my receipt - roughly $68 for the night (I had a pet). I little bit letter I was checking my bank account and found out that the hotel issued a charge to my bank FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH! At this point, aside from being furious, I was panicked. This was nearly a $2K charge I was not expecting at all. I'm a widow in a new town and don't have any means of getting extra money until I get paid in a couple of weeks.

    I called the hotel several times and even went there, to be told that the manager would not be in until the next day (Monday). Called the next day several times, and was told that the matter had been corrected but it would take 3 to 10 days for the charge to be reversed. Are you kidding me?? (by the way, the manager NEVER called me to even offer an apology).

    I've told my bank if the charge actually posts to my account to dispute the charge. I can live with the fact that the hotel was...let's say...worth the nightly rate. But to make a mistake like this and have no sense of urgency to fix it? What a horrible experience!
