The room was very nice but smelled like old grease so maybe needs a deep clean. The blackout curtains do not close all the way and the sun shines right in on the bed in the morning.

Overall nice stay. The fire alarm went off the morning we were leaving and we couldn't check out because the building was evacuated. The breakfast was better than most hotels I stay at in the US. Staff seemed friendly.
The pillows were out of this world and the staff was very friendly

For the money, you cannot stay at a better hotel in this area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great place to stay and if I need to stay in the area again, it'll be here.

Perfect hotel for long term stays: it offers comfortable large rooms with full kitchen facility, free laundry service on site, clean exercise room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very good location next to I-94, minutes to Downtown Kalalamazoo and Portage.

We've stayed there several times while visiting WMU. Price is better than nearby hotels. It's not brand new but still in great condition and they keep it clean. The place was nearly full but still remarkably quiet.

We are very happy with the staff and how helpful they were in helping us find exactly what we needed. The room was very clean and had all the equipment we needed. The hotel itself was very clean. It would've been nice to have more breakfast options but extremely happy with the stay.

We had a great stay. Rooms are big and clean. Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. Wish you did stay over service daily. Overall a great stay.
Luxury comfort at a good value pricing

Needing a room for the night I looked for what I thought was a nice comfortable room at a good value. I mad an excellent choice in Candlewood Suites from IHG Hotels. Impressed as soon as I walked into the room. The bed, TV, bathroom, desk area and kitchen area exceeded my expectations. No disappointments at all. Highly recommended!
Great room layout for extended stays

This is the best place around for extended stays for work crews. The complimentary laundry is a real plus. The rooms are clean when we arrive, and the beds are nice. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I would rather stay here than anyplace else around for a long stay.
Bed and pillows were awful

Overall experience was good. Price, staff, size of room and size of bathroom was excellent. The towels were rough and could be replaced. The room was outdated.
But the one reason I won’t return is the beds and pillows. They are way too soft for me.

We were impressed by the size and amenities in our room. The hotel was clean and nice. The location was great too, right off the highway. I wish there was housekeeping though during your stay.
