Apple Grove Golf Course

The 9-hole "Apple Grove" course features 1,538 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 29 . Designed by Tom Aasen, the Apple Grove golf course opened in 1974. This course is quiet, tranquil, and located in the country. The terrain is flat and the fairways tree lined. The course has both small and large greens.

North Dakota State Fair Center

The North Dakota State Fair Center is the largest showplace in the region. Located here in Minot, it is the “Entertainment Capital of North Dakota,” hosting a variety of events year-round such as the Norsk Hostfest and the ND State Fair. Minot State University

Several cultural exhibits exist on the campus along with a science museum, the beautiful cultural events center - Ann Nicole Nelson Hall (formally McFarland Auditorium), art galleries, the Dome (one of the finest athletic facilities in the upper Midwest), and an attractive campus.

Lake Sakakawea State Park

Located on the south shore of Lake Sakakawea, the State Park offers a wide range of water based recreational activities and facilities. The park has a full service marina, including boat rentals, convenience store, fishing guide services and boat and camper storage. The park hosts numerous fishing derbies throughout the summer. The lake itself is one of the three largest man-made reservoirs in the nation. It has a surface area of about 368,000 acres and is 178 miles long.

Roosevelt Park, Zoo & Pool

The Roosevelt Park Zoo is home to the largest collection of exotic animals between Minneapolis and Seattle. The zoo is home to over 200 mammals, birds and reptiles, including penguins, giraffes, kangaroos, leopards, lions, tigers, bears and much more. A new addition to the zoo is the River Otter Exhibit including and underwater viewing area. In addition to the zoo, Roosevelt Park (the largest park in Minot) and Roosevelt Pool are also located in this area.

Scandinavian Heritage Park

The Scandinavian Heritage Park is a tribute to the Scandinavian culture and ancestors who settled in the Minot area. The park includes many buildings and statues with a full size replica of a Stav Church, and authentic Finnish Suana, a Danish windmill, a 220 year old house from Sigdal, Norway, and much more. The Scandinavian Heritage Park is also home to the Scandinavian Heritage Visitors Center, including the offices of the Minot Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Norsk Hostfest.

Minot Country Club

Rated "one of the top five courses in North Dakota" by Golf Digest, the Minot Country Club features an 18-hole par 72 golf course, a clubhouse and a pro shop adjacent to the Souris River. The Country Club also has a swimming pool and banquet hall. Following the flood of 2011, the Minot Country Club moved to a new location in SE Minot. The new course opened in 2014.

Souris Valley Golf Course

Souris Valley Golf Course facility features 6,759 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 72.5 and it has a slope rating of 125 on Blue grass. Designed by (R) Mike Morley, the Souris Valley golf course opened in 1968. The challenging 18-hole par 72 Souris Valley Golf Course in the Mouse River Valley features wooded fairways and water hazards.

Taube Museum of Art

The Lillian & Coleman Taube Museum of Art is located in the former Union National Bank building in downtown Minot. This beautiful building has been renovated into an incredible art gallery that hosts many traveling exhibits throughout the year. The museum holds art classes, camps and museum tours.

Pointe of View Winery

The Pointe of View Winery is North Dakota's first winery and was established in 2002 and located just 10 minutes west of Minot. The specialty of the winery is North Dakota's native fruit and honey. The honey wines are made from locally produced honey and the fruit wines are made from fruits such as apple, rhubarb, Juneberry and chokecherry, which are abundantly grown in this region. The winery offers free tours of the grounds along with free tastings of their wine.

Downtown Minot

Established as a railroad community in the mid 1800's, Minot's downtown district is one today that reflects the distinctive history of turn-of-the-century architecture, while providing all the products and services expected in today's marketplace. A rich heritage and variety of shopping & ding thrive in Historic Downtown Minot. The continued efforts of private business owners and community involvement have preserved some of the area's most interesting properties and trades.

Dakota Territory Air Museum

Located just north of the Minot International Airport on Highway 83 is the Dakota Territory Air Museum. The museum was founded in 1986 with the dream to provide the most comprehensive aviation facility in the state & the region. Here you will find a variety of military & civilian aircract, numerous aviation photographs & a large collection of aviation literature & periodicals. You will also find a large collection of memorabilia relating to this region's military aviation service & history.

Minot Railroad Museum

The community of Minot grew overnight with the development of the railroad which provided for a rich history in the community. The Minot Railroad Museum displays more than 100 years of rail history, including photos, memorabilia, communication systems and much more. The museum focuses on regional railroading from 1886 to the present time.

Splashdown Dakota Super Slides

The Splashdown Dakota Super Slides is a 24,000 square foot waterpark and fun center attached to the Dakota Square Mall and located inside the Sleep Inn and Suites. The center features three major slides, four separate pool areas, a large kiddie area with smaller slides and fun water play features, and a 45 person cloverleaf hot tub. Located above the waterpark is a snack shop. The fun center is also home to 600 square feet of arcade games and virtual fun.
