Once my husband and I checked in, the staff was very hospitable. We were given routes to the Riverwalk, restaurant ideas, and good conversation in general. When we visit San Antonio again, we will definitely be staying at the Holiday Inn!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. I’ve stayed at this location before without any issues, but this time was a complete letdown.

I booked my room through the IHG Travel Advisor site, and booked for a client, where I found what I thought was a good rate under the “best available rate.” After receiving my confirmation, I thought everything was set. However, when I went to check-in, my card was charged again, causing it to be flagged. My friend ended up using her card, but when we looked at the charges, the total was $50 more than what I was originally quoted. This is a major concern because had I booked this for a client, they would have been hit with an unexpected charge.

When I asked the desk clerk for an explanation, they claimed the hotel charges a $50 fee for incidentals, even though my confirmation clearly stated it would be a $25 charge, already included in the total. This was incredibly frustrating, as I was not informed of the discrepancy.

Additionally, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work, making for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. To top it off, the housekeeping staff began working very early in the morning, and their supply closet was extremely close to our room. They were loudly yelling down the hall, which was extremely disrespectful to guests trying to sleep.

All in all, I am very disappointed with this stay and will not be returning. I won’t be booking any future stays with IHG properties, nor will I recommend them to clients. The lack of communication, unaddressed issues, and the failure to honor my confirmed rate left me feeling completely let down.

Great clean Hotel. I stayed here about 13 yrs ago when I went for a GEC class. I had a great stay then as I did this time. The room was clean breakfast was fully stocked and had good choices. I didn’t get the young man’s name that checked me in, I do want to say he was very friendly and I appreciated that very much!! He has great customer service skills and delivered on the IHG True Hospitality!!

Excellent IHG hotel in downtown San Antonio

I will definitely be staying again at Holiday Inn Express and Suites in downtown San Antonio Rivercenter. It’s close to everything you want to see and do. Reasonably priced and the staff was awesome. They even let me view the room before booking, gave me first floor which I requested and upgraded me without asking. Front desk lady was so friendly and had service with a smile. Thank you.

Visit San Antonio in cold winter weather was quite an experience. The friendly receptionist welcomed us and upgraded the stay from 2 queens bed accommodation to a suite with 2 queens beds. Disastrous Stay: Vehicle Break-In, Filth, and Neglect Under Mahesh Fulani's Management

Avoid this hotel!!! My stay at this Holiday Inn was a complete debacle.

My vehicle was broken into in what should have been a secure parking area. The staff's response was utterly unhelpful, deferring me to General Manager Mahesh Fulani, who callously stated it wasn't their problem, offering no support or even a hint of concern.

The hotel's condition was beyond appalling. The pool was a literal garbage dump, and cleanliness throughout the hotel was laughably absent. Our room was no better, with a football-sized hole in the shower floor that they repaired with what appeared to me an adhesive sticker, like you see in the infomercials.

The management, led by Mahesh Fulani, showed a disgraceful lack of responsibility. There was no attempt to address or even acknowledge the litany of issues, let alone compensate for the distressing experience.

Every staff person I talked to let me know that issues I had during my time here were not their problem, and I would need to find a way to get ahold of the GM. The lack of accountability is clearly due to the lack of leadership from Mahesh Fulani, who also made it clear that he could care less about how disgusting his hotel is and that all issues experienced by customers are really their own fault, not his. To make matters worse, this hotel has no security cameras in the parking lot to prevent or deter thieves from preying on the hotel guests. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn or any IHG property again due to the revolting state of this hotel and the abysmal management.

Everything was so perfect except someone entered my room and stole a valuable item. I purposely asked for no service so no one would enter while I was away. I saw staff watching me leave for a sporting event which ensured I would be gone for hours. Just know this was my first IHG stay and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
