When we fly from Birmingham we always stay here as we get a suite upgrade and there is plenty of room for 4 of us and there is a proper lounge area as well as bedroom.

Unfortunately our holiday was cancelled so we checked out to go home again but the stay was good and the staff were very friendly and understanding.

Only quibble was the breakfast service which was very slow and not a lot of options for my wife who is a vegetarian.

Other than that a good stay and will use them if staying in area

Staff cannot do enough for you, I have stayed here many times before Covid and during as an essential key worker.

Be present and communicate

1) recognising the reduced staff, ensure the pager bell is actually working on the reception desk. Waiting physically at the desk to await staff to arrive for over 10 minutes is excessive. Oh and the card key for the door didn't work.

2) no tea or coffee facilities in the guest room.

3) as an IHG member I wasn't even offered bottled water or given any options.

4) Recognising a limited service I had to ask what services the hotel was actually providing.

5) conferencing facilities, refreshments ran out on the second day, and the desk had to be requested for more. This being after a significant time awaiting staff to check and replenish.

Good for Business

Great Business Hotel, in a good location with easy access, parking is £10 but is good for near an airport. Reception was slow to check in, once in front of the desk, very happy and chirpy team member with lots of knowledge. Rooms was brilliant, very large with lots of charging ports. Bed is one of the comfiest I have slept on. Bathroom was good, slightly outdated shower/bath combo with poor pressure, toiletries supplied were plentyful and useful, towels also soft and large. Bar was okay, tables had lots of sticky rim marks that hadnt been cleaned, ordered calimari, waited but turned out it was out of stock, replaced with Chicken gujons, only 3 in a small pot, didnt feel this was great value as chicken wasnt even that nice. As a member of IHG rewards a nice bonus of a welcome drink made everything much nicer! Breakfast was very good, lots of staff very attentive and great selection.
