We stayed the night before we travelled over to France via Dover. A great start to our holiday. Great value for money.

Excellent stay was beyond our initial expectations. The hotel is a great stop and of a high standard...recommended.

Have used Holiday Inn, Ashford North as an overnight stop-over to Dover several times now. Staff extremely helpful and responded quickly to my emails for choice of room after booking.
Dinner choice good and served well, thanks.
My only gripe, if it is one, but same as most major hotels, never a real ale draught beer on tap, only bottled options which are not quite the same.
Thanks, we'll be back.

Excellent service without being overbearing. A shame there is no walkin showers so not suitable for long stay. We had a problem with car on journey to hotel and manager and receptionist was most helpful and provided details and directions to local garage if it proved necessary. Will certainly look to stay at Holiday Inn again.

The hotel itself is very close to the M20 and the room we had was very noisy, you could hear the lorries thundering along all night. This was most due to the state of the windows which in our room did not close properly and had gaps all around, the window sill had clear water damage and needs replacing.
The hotel itself apart from the lobby is generally in need of a refit with wallpaper with curling corners and grubby threadbare carpets.
On arrival we were greeted with "we might not" when I asked about my reservation. Also the usual club recognition was missing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Groundsman Pleasant stay at a bargain price
I booked this before crossing to France. The room rate was prepaid in advance (non- refundable) but was a bargain price including breakfast for 2. The room was large, though there was a bit of road noise from the M20 but it was tolerable. The central heating pipes were a bit noisy too but more than made up for by the positive elements of the stay. There was a friendly welcome and a good well stocked breakfast. There was a coach party also staying so the restaurant was busy but that was not a problem and service was excellent.
Would definitely recommend.

An off night for the consistent IHG brands
On check in i was not greeted as a priority club member, the member of staff checking me in did not have a name badge and appeared unshaven with his shirt hanging out and top button of his shirt undone.
No explanation was given that the internet access code was on the key card.
Poor choice of food in the restaurant with the spring rolls ordered coming out almost burnt and would have expected the Smoked salmon to be served with bread. The service was very hit and miss with staff more interested in talking to customers that taking orders/seating guests.
The phone did not work in the room, the room faced the road and was load from passing lorries and the bed was uncomfortable.
