Cozy but needs work

It's a nice room for the price. However, it does need a little work, the motor for the blinds (both blackout and see-through blinds) was not working. The cables were cut. I had to manually unroll the blinds to bring them down. However, I did forget to let the front desk know.

Nice front desk staff

Came here for a football camp in the area. Just fair warning... parking... Stinks!! Unless you get there at a good time. They share the lot with another hotel on the property. This hotel seems a bit older and had a stale smell in the hallway and a little smell in the room but nothing we couldn’t tolerate. Breakfast was a bag with a muffin and orange due to covid (understandable). Regarding the comfortable sleep bit, I had a hard time sleeping because the vent in the bathroom is on the WHOLE time and throughout the night. There is no switch to turn it off. Positive is that the staff were nice.

My family and I enjoyed the stay. We had 2 rooms. One was excellent. The other one not so much. The toilet kept running and the refrigerator hummed all night. Other than that it a good experience

Discrimination...

After spending the first night of a two day reservation, i was threatened by staff that my oversized vehicle was going to be towed at my expense, unless i parked it elsewhere or left the hotel. I was directed by an IHG associate to this particular hotel because their parking lot would facilitate my vehicle. Opon arrival i informed the front desk rep of the vehicle, who after walking outside to view it, gave me a parking pass to display on the dash and said it would be fine.
The next afternoon I summarily told to vacate. Since there were two other overside vehicles hauling massive trailers, and since I had been at work the entire day, the only possible answer for their behavior is discminatory.

Good clean, quiet room

No big issues with the stay. The only complain I have is with the TV channel selection. You can only obtain a list of channels by scrolling to a certain channel (I did this accidentally), after which it displays page by page without you being able to control. Then, you cannot select a channel and jump to it, and you cannot enter the channel number. Scrolling channel by channel is your only option. Very inconvenient.

Great hotel

I really enjoyed my stay here. The only issue I had was the bland breakfast. I did understand that due to COVID it had to be a bit different but I was there for a whole week end we had either a choice of a cold bagel or a packaged muffin, water and a fruit. I did feel like they could do better with that. In my bathroom I did find two bugs thankfully none of them near me but still they were there. And also during my six night stay my sheets were not changed until I requested sheets and put them on myself, and I left trash outside my room because it was never taken out. If the policy changed due to Covid that was fine with me, but that information was never given back to me. Hotel front desk staff were extremely nice and well mannered. She even allowed me to stay well after the usual check out time as well. All in all it was a nice stay. My only main complaint is that at night you can hear everything. The walls are thin so at times it can feel like someone is in your room because of how much you can hear.

This hotel has a convenient location close to everything, a comfy bed with good pillows and just what you need in the room, a comfortable bed, mini fridge and microwave. A little keurig and coffee is offered.

Customer Service sucks

FDA Brittney has the worst attitude and no customer service skills. I checked in at 4 and have previously request a ground floor with GM Anthony Via phone. I asked her about my request and she proceeded to tell me ground floor at 4pm wasn’t ready. Then found a room that was. She didn’t inform me about breakfast or gym facilities. Nothing informative about anything.
I get to the room and turn in the air before I hop in the shower. Water pressure wasn’t the greatest. But unlike my last trip their toiletries were actually filled. As I get out I get startled seeing and hearing my a/c was off. I went to check the room and realized the a/c was just broken. It wouldn’t stay in no matter how you adjusted it. Then I attempt to call front desk. Just my luck the phone was broken after multiple tries to unplug and press different numbers.
Upset I packed my things and head to front desk. I explained to Brittney the issues, she huffed and didn’t say anything just started looking at the computer. Not sympathetic or anything. Then gets up and makes new keys. How she has a customer service position is beyond me. There was not hospitality and just seemed annoyed with my issue as if I was the problem.
Next day, I know check out is at 12 noon. I get up run a few errands and pack up my room. I had the intention to come back and relax before my drive home to Vegas. I realize I’ve left my charger and keys in the room so I asked the FDA Rachel for assistance. She proceeds to tell me my room was checked out! Umm, excuse me I had til 12 it was shortly after 11. Just because nothing was in the room doesn’t mean I was done with my stay. I always check out on the phone or stop by the desk at any hotel I’m at. She asked me what I left and she said HK has entered the room and it was empty. I knew exactly where it was so she made the key and I went to the room. I grabbed my cord and left. I stopped by the desk to make sure I grabbed the GMs card and the employees names before I left.
I have never had HK in the room and have them check me out prior to my time without my permission. The service you get here is just the worst. It’s so upsetting how convenient the location is when I’m in SD twice a month. It’s like what do I expect next time I ever go back?!
