Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet I stayed overnight with my wife, her sister and husband. We had ground floor rooms, us at the back while they overlooked the car park. Although close to a busy road we had no noise problem there or with the car park. The reception was busy when we returned at about 23.30 but the room was quiet. We had a comfortable stay and would use this hotel again. 03 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just a short hop to Gatwick Airport We booked this hotel because of its closeness to the Airport and not getting the hustle of loads of many other holiday makers going on holiday abroad as well. We are part of the IHG points reward system and were recognized for our status and upgraded to a very comfortable and spacious room. The enthusiastic staff were very helpful and offered us drinks from the lounge bar when we first arrived. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and the sleep quality was excellent, bed mattress and room darkness was excellent as we did a good night sleep for the 9 hour flight the next day. We were able to park our car close to the main hotel entrance as I was concerned about leaving it for a fifteen nights (under the one night stay and park deal). Overall a good experience and stay at this hotel. 01 July 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Fails in many areas Over the last month or so, stayed in this hotel 5+ times. On each occasion there is something not right. 1 Dirty chair in room 2 Dirty cups in room 3 Lavatory leaking in room. 4 Air Con not working in room and room at unsleepable temperature 5 Violent intermittent noise (like a Tuba) emanating from pipework, so much so that items in room were shaking, and this was a known problem. 6 Insufficient silverware and chinaware at breakfast 7 Receptionist not providing Elite member benefits 29 June 2014

Breakfast was buffet with a limited selection, it was adequate although like most buffets some food was cooler than others and some food does not keep well in a buffet. 25 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Probably the best HIE I've stayed in Smooth, polite check in. All documents ready for us. Room was excellent - the only concern was the lighting in the bathroom, it was adequate but quite dim. Breakfast as always was buffet style with limited choice but ample quantities. Check out equally smooth. We'll stay here again. 25 June 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Surprise surprise! I'm a little bit anti brand name hotels, all too often you either pay for the name or they are lacking in 'Colour'. This was a surprise, the staff were very professional and polite.....and happy! The room, despite the size of the hotel, was very quiet. Breakfast was a little chaotic but reasonable. It was a very busy time when we arrived and when we left, yet no queues and no fuss. 21 June 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I stay in Holiday Inn Express hotels up and down the country, however the experience I have had at this hotel is making me wonder why I pay these costs. Its the little things that could easily be avoided if staff had the sense to think about their actions prior to undertaking tasks, on this occasion having placed the 'much needed sleep' card on the door I was awoken to housekeeping rolling out sticky plastic along the carpet outside my room, just no thought for the customers that were asleep in the early hours. Having been awoken, I decided to take the complementary breakfast so made my way down to find that there was scrambled egg and beans spread over the counter top, 1 slice of bread left, dirty cutlery and wet plates. I decided better of having a cooked breakfast, if this is the standard that they think is exceptable I didn't won't to risk anything from the kitchen, so I had cereal and coffee instead. Having sat down to have my cereal, housekeeping decided that this was the perfect time to hoover the area I was sitting in. I at this point gave up and returned to my room. Attention to detail is lacking in my mind with the management of this hotel and it is not going to be a hotel I will stay with in the future. 21 June 2014
